The Beatles Abbey Road

The problem, Grass, is that for some obscure reason, the detractors of the Beatles feel compelled to invade EVERY review of the Liverpool quartet to express their disdain for the "scarafaggi," always comparing them to the usual suspects with the same old phrases: "well, in the same years, the Velvet U. blablabla, and the Pink Floyd blablabla, and Captain Beefheart blablabla" and so on. By the way, I also think the same way (while loving the Beatles), but honestly, after a while, this gets tiring, for goodness' sake! :DD

The tits on the cover turned me on! :DD
David Bowie Tonight

Bowie had to think it over 100 times before covering a song of the caliber of "God Only Knows"; it's impossible to make it better than the original.

Yosif, 2 for "New York" by Lou Reed?? Well, I forgive you because you gave 5 to the great Dexter Gordon! :DD

I feel like quoting Larrok, since he says good and right things. At the beginning of their career, the Stones gave a boost to rock, the gritty and streetwise kind, they rockenrolled the blues. Then there haven't been any particular experiments, they’ve always played what they knew how to do best. And I'm perfectly fine with that; the Stones ARE their music; in fact, I couldn't even imagine them playing 20-minute suites or experimenting with who knows what sounds. Ultimately, it’s all good this way, others have taken care of opening new paths.

This, along with "Astral Weeks," "Moondance," "Veedon Fleece," and "Into The Music," are must-haves. One of my favorite singer-songwriters of all time.

@Icnarf: when I saw the photo you posted, I mistook Capovilla for Trent Reznor! :DDD
One Dimensional Man / Il Teatro degli Orrori 5 Questions to Pierpaolo Capovilla

Beautiful the review/interview with Icnarf, very good the Teatro: I remember seeing them in Feltre a couple of years ago (more or less...) and I recall it being a great concert, they were very much on form. I also remember a curious anecdote: there was a guy, among the (few) audience who kept staring at Capovilla in a challenging way, until the latter got fed up and put him in front of the microphone to give him that moment of glory (and resulting embarrassment!) he so desired... :DD

"But them as people, like all rockstars, I hate. Well, that's just my opinion!" there you go, go listen to those rednecks from Creedence! :DD
