Savatage Poets And Madman

Indeed, the review is not smooth due to the errors, but you were quite precise and included several interesting details. All in all, I agree with you. Nice album, but it can't compare to the glories of the past, especially since the second half of the album features some rather bland tracks. However, I must say that in this album, more than in previous ones, the band's melancholic streak emerges, which has often created sad atmospheres and rarely sunny ones. Certainly among the best heavy metal bands ever!

Well done! You also gave me some significant news; in fact, I didn't know that Chuck Billy was part of Dog Faced Gods, the latter being a really great semi-unknown band!
Agalloch Pale Folklore
Voto:
I've never been crazy about the album; I've always seen them as the poor man's Opeth, although I know that the bands have different differences!
Immortal At Heart Of Winter
Voto:
I've never liked the immortal, but this album, precisely because it distances itself from the clichéd black metal, deserves to be listened to. Really excellent!
Mastodon Blood Mountain
Voto:
Mastodon are an interesting group. Leviathan is a great album. When I feel like it, I'll listen to this one too.
David Bowie Hunky Dory
Voto:
I can’t judge Bowie in full, having only this album and the subsequent Ziggy, which I consider two excellent examples of rock and pop with great compositional taste and excellent lyrics. However, as already mentioned, tastes are tastes!
In Flames Lunar Strain - Subterranean
Voto:
In my opinion, more than thrash influences, which I really hear very little of, in the early In Flames, heavy influences are much more pronounced, even those of Iron Maiden, particularly in some melodic riffs, certainly all transplanted into a black death dimension. This is also one of the myths to debunk; melodic death to me is a misleading label. Here, the only things related to death are the growls and rarely some rhythmic sections; let's say it's a pumped-up heavy sound, often taken to high speeds with black, folk (in the case of In Flames), and death influences, but the latter is certainly not predominant! Anyway, your review is nice, but it didn't grab me; of course, the problem is mine, because you write well!
