I don't understand this concept of yours when you say that the Ministry are better just because they went farther. I've never listened to Ministry, but I think that when it comes to music, Nine Inch Nails are much more disturbing, at least on a musical level!

The album is beautiful. You can definitely feel some HIM influences, but in two songs at most. The melodies are stunning, and the guitars are quite powerful. I also hated the album on first listen, but then I re-evaluated it immensely. No one there is already history!

this is a real jerk! I haven't read Vic's other review yet, but at least he's not sneaky and shoots out curses and swear words directly. You use grammar and good speech to say nonsense, so you're doubly dangerous.
Cycociccio like it or not, this was one of the best-selling albums in America in the '90s. Like it or not, Marilyn Manson wouldn’t have existed without Alice Cooper and Trent Reznor (you might say this was perhaps a good thing). Like it or not, a certain David Bowie certainly tried to cover "Closer" without succeeding.
If you can't decipher a CD and only hear a jumble of noises, that's your problem.
I repeat, Vic at least makes you laugh, you don't!

Come on, don’t be petty, don’t talk in clichés. But have you actually listened to the album or are you just going by hearsay? It’s not a masterpiece, but some songs are really beautiful, and there’s a hint of experimentation that never hurts. The track "the house that jack built" is amazing, Sabbathian to the core. The album, let’s say, loses its way in the second half and could have been a bit shorter; in fact, it feels a bit scattered!
