Europe The Final Countdown
Voto:
I already played guitar (classical, of course) and violin, and I’m also from the south, but I think this is now the situation in many Italian schools. The seas of saliva were for flutists; we, guitarists, acted all high and mighty, but our jerk of a teacher made us crack our fingers before we could start playing, and if we couldn’t do it, he would pull them until they made a noise!

I must have been lucky, maybe because I’m a kid from the 90s, but in middle school I played the guitar. In my school, there were 4 options to choose from (well, to be honest, you didn’t choose jack), which were guitar, piano, violin, and the inevitable flute! But only those in section B played an instrument, and we were the ones who had it a bit better, not the richest, but definitely the privileged, the more well-regarded in town. The other section didn’t play instruments and were the troublemakers, except for a few exceptions. Great review!

I meant to say Mr. Big and not Mr. Mig.

I really like the fact that you are reviewing these 80s bands that for the most part I've only heard of without ever listening to them! Anyway, I hope someone from you will also review (otherwise I'll think about it in the future) bands that emerged in the late 80s and 90s like Giant and Mr. Mig, bands that managed to perfectly mix powerful, anthemic hard rock and AOR, in short, the two souls of 80s rock!

I gave 5 for the album and not for that hot chick Scabbia. The hot chick is hot and the music is music!

Aor is a great genre, but Italians will never understand it! I still have to listen to this album! Anyway, a shitty review; you can't review a record having only listened to it once (as you implied in your subsequent comment). The first listen is always misleading and everything can seem either wonderful or trivial!
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Sinfonie n°40 K 550 e n°41 K 551 "Jupiter"

As usual, an excellent review, and I’m always happy every time I read classical music reviews written by grasshopher! I know very little about Mozart as a composer!
Dark Tranquillity Trail Of Life Decayed (Demo)

Hey Ciccio, look, Dark Tranquillity don’t talk about dismemberments and gore stuff. Shut up, or you'll make a fool of yourself!

Povia is the symbol of the little Italy of music, and I wouldn't mind doing a few things with Tatangelo. There’s no music, just low-level spectacle and feel-goodism! Great review!
Virgin Steele The Marriage Of Heaven And Hell
Voto:
With all due respect, red, you are quite ignorant, and it's not just because you don't like Virgin Steel (which is entirely personal, after all, de gustibus), but because you say they copy and that they are the weakest in the genre! First of all, Virgin Steel are among the founders of the genre and definitely among the bands with the most complex arrangements and one of the most beautiful voices in classic heavy metal. Then you talk about technique, which is actually quite secondary in Virgin Steel; in fact, only Pursino is great in the solos. The rest of the band is anything but technical, and the drummers of Virgin Steel (they've had many) have always been somewhat lacking. What matters in Virgin Steel is the feeling and the atmosphere; technique has nothing to do with Virgin Steel. Have you ever seen them live? I have, and I assure you, they are fantastic. Period.
