So I'm not the only one for whom this song was a hit years ago! I too have sweet memories and emotions that no longer exist. When I still didn't have the internet, I used to watch MTV closely to try to record the video, and I even thought about buying the album just for that song (which I ultimately didn't do, and I see from your review that I didn't make a mistake in that).

Ah, prejudices, what a nasty beast! Very beautiful album! Forget the old Sepultura, listen to the album without biases and you will see that compared to 90% of the current metal releases, it's a fresh, original, and very intriguing album!

Schizophrenia can also be a good album, but it suffers from a production that is generously described as terrible. In my opinion, Arise is better, even though the masterpiece of Sepultura for me remains Roots, an album that truly managed to say something new in the metal world, a real watershed album. Unfortunately, the sound of that album was then overly exploited and trivialized by dozens of bands, primarily by Cavalera himself with his Soulfly.

But it seems to me that "the bassist" is just grasping at straws and doesn’t respect other people's tastes. Dear bassist, if the album doesn't appeal to many, why do you care? From what little I've heard, I consider it too commercial; it might generally appeal to those who don't know the old Red Hot or to those who live on bread and MTV!

Great review! Almost everyone tears this album apart, always comparing it to the older ones. Taken on its own, though, it's interesting and enjoyable to listen to. It was one of my first CDs, so I'm really fond of it, especially because thanks to them and a few other bands, I started listening to music with a certain interest and moved away from the trendy MTV-like tunes! Their masterpiece still remains demanufacture, anyway!
Bad Company Bad Co

The debut, if I'm not mistaken, is called Bad Company like the band and not Bad Co!

Sorry sfascia, I didn't vote for you, I'll make up for it!

Regarding Celtic Frost, I only know that the singer introduced the famous Uh! into the world of metal, which is also used, for example, by Akerfeldt of Opeth at least once in every album. I also know that as a band they influenced a good part of extreme metal (black metal in particular) in the 90s. Of course, I'll have to listen to them sooner or later with my own ears!

The review is really excellent, but it's better to double-check in these cases. Then I don't understand the three-star rating! You "make" several praises of the songs on this album and then you give it barely a passing grade?
