shark, I think I was clear in my comment, do I need to repeat myself? Your review isn't bad anyway and gives a general idea of the album, but you missed some things. I was a bit pissed off with Jim Morrison's comment but your review isn't ignorant, it would be a 3.5! Bye

Lexus, go be snobby somewhere else; had you said jazz or classical, I would have understood you!

I completely endorse your review. For me, this is one of the most beautiful albums by Rush. Far superior to several of their works from the 80s. I would probably place it in the top five of Rush's albums, and considering that Rush has released seventeen albums, this gives you an idea of how much I, as a Rush fan, love this album. The atmosphere, compared to their other albums, is darker, and the esoteric cover (which I really love) perfectly outlines what we will listen to. "Bastille Day" is one of the great pieces in rock history, and the different parts of the "Fountain of Lamneth" suite are nothing short of moving: the acoustic passages and the melody of "Bacchus Plateau" are of a paradisiacal beauty, something you experience only a few times in your life. Everything is perfect, even the Zeppelin-esque "I'm Think I'm Going Bald," which, despite its cheerful vibe, has very deep and sad lyrics. By the way, for many, the last suite (the lyrics) relates to LSD.

Nice review, but too bad about your final comment, which feels too moralistic and takes away some depth from the story. I agree with everything you say, but a review shouldn't be used for that. However, the review itself is nice. 4-

Since someone has suggested some tracks, I'll do the same, recommending songs from "weathered," in my opinion their best album:

I like your review because it's written in a rush, because you say what you really think, a thought put online, and I agree with everything you say. 3.5!

Great review, personal ones are the best, but it conveys too much sadness (not a flaw, it's my issue)!

I also find the review very delightful and enjoyable to read. I remember many years ago seeing "Bullet in My Head" performed live on "Super Rock"; maybe that night we were both tuned in to MTV!

a great album, and it was hard to imagine that after Demanufacture, Fear Factory would produce a new masterpiece!

Great album with some songs that are little masterpieces, like Tuesday's Gone, the amazing Free Bird, and the equally beautiful simple man. This album reeks of whiskey, pure southern rock, a sincere and damn engaging CD!
