Sorry for my ignorance... which CD do you recommend to start listening to Anathema?

You can't criticize the black album... it's true that this is when they changed, but the explanation they gave is that of a natural evolution, like natural human beings, in search of something else... and during that time they were still credible!! The ugly part is that there was an expectation for a return to the legendary original rhythms, which unfortunately are lost... still, you can't criticize Enter Sandman, Sad But True, My Friend Of Misery, Of Wolf And Man, and even ballads (which aren't bad every once in a while) like The Unforgiven and Nothing Else Matters!!!!! It's still a great album, deserving of a spot among the top 5!

Hello guys! I can't judge Cradle, having never listened to them... But if I wanted a good example of Symphonic Black, what would be the best to listen to? I just finished enjoying this album and discovering the greatness of the Blind Guardian. They are truly amazing, and I would like to keep listening to them... could someone point out the substantial difference between this album and "Nightfall In Middle-Earth"?
