Thank you to everyone who attended.
@HR92, I may be biased, but give their entire discography a listen; their albums are quite different from each other.
The first one is the historic one that, in fact, sparked the birth of hundreds of clone groups or, in any case, that pay a heavy toll in terms of influence in the gothic scene (rock, metal, or electronic), but I think the others are excellent as well (a step below is Vision Thing).
After all, it shouldn't be difficult since they only made 3 studio albums and a collection of tracks before First and Last and Always.
Vortex, I find this version to be much more powerful than the original, which lacks heavy metal guitars. Anyway, yes, we're talking about the same piece. Bye bye.

If you haven't seen the movie, don't read this review, as it's just an accurate description of the plot.

I speak and think like an ignorant person in this field because, objectively, I know a crumb of philosophy or history compared to you or Alessio.
But I believe that themes like death or suicide cannot be equated with war.
I mean, we can talk as much as we want about war as an act of defense of a people attacked by another, or the usefulness or not of the so-called preventive war.
But what I find monstrous, perhaps because it is so far from my way of seeing things, is precisely the complacency towards it, to the point of even seeing it as an art form.
I know there have been thoughts and philosophical currents that support this thesis, but I repeat, beyond all the culture that may be behind it that has manifested throughout history, I think that presenting such thoughts as you have done, for goodness' sake, without any value judgment but with words that seem a bit too passionate (haven't you maybe immersed yourself too much in the character? ;-), is dangerous, not for you, as we understand you to be a healthy and balanced young man, but for those who read you who might be susceptible to such grandiloquent terms and easily influenced, whether due to age or other factors. Bye.

Memento, honestly, I thought you were a little less touchy.
"The right comment would have been 'dear memento, while disapproving of the reviewed work, I appreciated your effort in trying to give a clear vision of the moods that permeate the work, not contaminating it with value judgments. Rather, memento, what do you find so cool in this damn music?'"
I must respectfully disagree.
What you would have said, calling it a "right comment" seems really excessive to me.
Here, people freely express their opinions, and I believe rightly so, trying to lighten the mood and poke a bit of fun in the face of poorly written reviews or topics like this.
In my opinion, and I emphasize my opinion, these are charlatans, and to empathize with what an SS officer or a Khmer Rouge torturer might have felt, quite frankly, I don’t give a damn, because I only see them as beasts, beyond the various philosophical thoughts that underlie them.
I might be being simplistic, but this way, in my view, you could end up justifying them even.
In short, I don’t share your modus operandi of empathy because it can be dangerous.

As far as I am concerned, I reject every extremism of any color. In the "extreme," art can hardly be found even in passing.

P.S.: Don’t take it the wrong way, Memento, for this messing around; you are a great writer in my eyes, but, in my opinion, there are things for which it’s not worth doing the empathy work that you tried to do.
Like: "I’ll put myself a bit in the shoes of Satan to try to understand his thought made of blood but of honor, of war but of decadent love."
A bit nauseating in my view.
I think focusing solely on the description of the music would have been more appropriate, with at most a few extra hints.

I would say that these Der Blaushtachen, after all, are left-wing.

At a glance and taking a look at their fantastic and epic site, they seem like a bunch of frauds. The difficult judgment is left to future Aryans.

For me too, what the first commenter said. Every time I listen to the old Madonna songs, a little tear comes down.
