THE REVIEW

I would like to start this review with a very sad, dramatic, but terribly true statement: WE ARE LOSING THEM ALL!!! ALL OF THEM!!!!!!!!!! The great stars who literally made us dream as kids have virtually passed away! Both physically and, more importantly, artistically!

Luisa Veronica Ciccone, known as Madonna, is one of those pop icons that I consider musically dead!!! Recycling for the new generation for the umpteenth time is no longer enough to lift the artistic talents of this singer! Madonna has always reinvented herself, but she knew how to do it with style! She danced, sang with that little girl voice, her provocations were real provocations! Up until "Ray Of Light", where she reinvented herself as a spiritualist and saint, she was wonderful! She was surrounded by people who knew how to fully exploit her image! Let's face it: Madonna's voice has never been great! Her way of dancing has never been great! Light years away from pop monsters like Michael Jackson or Prince... but.... She was a chameleon of pop, an icon of eroticism, a trendsetter, an image of "pop star" emulated worldwide! The reference point for millions of Lolitas, in this aspect she had no rivals! I was in love with her!!!! I loved her with all my soul! I still listen to "Who's That Girl" today and tears come to my eyes!! My heart races! I miss the old Madonna so much that I almost feel like crying! I mean it! But where has the real Ciccone gone? Why did she turn to club music? Why did she become a mom? Yes, yes, I know! Everyone grows up unfortunately! These pop stars have become ghosts of themselves! Jackson is a monster seen by everyone as a psychopathic child molester, Prince made an album that is literally crap! He self-produces, he seems like someone who fell into a cesspit and keeps screaming "Hey I'm still heeeere" we've lost them.

Madonna, unlike the others who have passed away, still has success!!! The formula is always the same, recycling, taking a potential trend of the moment and launching it... she has done it again, she took Break Dance and Parkour! Two disciplines that until a few years ago (especially parkour, the acrobatic art of movement) were considered underground! And now everyone is dancing Break and jumping buildings! But this time I didn't like it! In fact, it was crap! ps: for the BREAK DANCE FASHION even that trans from De Filippi thought about it.

Madonna 2007: old, falsely transgressive, all gym-toned trying to still give lessons in sensuality and transgression with her now moldy butt moves! And yet everyone loves her! But I think that the fans, the real ones who have been following her for years, she has almost lost all of them by now! Today Madonna attracts only a bunch of pimply kids who don't even know the existence of "Material Girl", kids who dance in clubs to "Jump" without knowing anything about the artist! Madonna in disco version is horrible! Ok... the songs are danceable and I dance too! So for confession... she deserves 3 stars! Congratulations for having the courage to reinvent yourself once again! In the face of her colleagues!

What I miss is the artist of old! "I miss you so much my love, where have the cross earrings and your masturbations on the bed during your tours gone?" By now the "like a vrgin" is no longer virgin!!! The girl image is over... yet she still flaunts it! Terribly annoying! She seems like a different person! All that's left is to quickly review her Immaculate Collection, with a tear rolling down my face:

  1. Holiday - Beautiful but perhaps it's one of those that I miss the least.
  2. Lucky Star - It never thrilled me but... she was too cool!
  3. Borderline - Beautiful! I wanted to ravish her!
  4. Like a Virgin - Epic! A period that will never return!!! I love you! I would have liked to deflower you! With all my soul! I dreamed of you day and night!
  5. Material Girl - Legendary! What a little girl voice! It's useless that the pop lolitas keep imitating her! It's a lost cause! These things happen only once! "No to Madonna's heirs!!!!"
  6. Crazy for You - Not the best
  7. Into the Groove - Now this is a beautiful pop song! What a sound! I feel depressing nostalgia!
  8. Live to Tell - Finally she brings out a beautiful voice! Great fine and moving song! Refined and unique!
  9. Papa Don't Preach - The 80s nostalgia is all in this song! No comment otherwise I'll cry!
  10. Open Your Heart - One of the most beautiful videos I've ever seen is this song! Here.. Madonna is this! Forget the current witch! Listen to this song and fix this image! Here is Ciccone!
  11. La Isla Bonita - Every kid from the 80s loved this track! Extremely sensual and inimitable!
  12. Like a Prayer - Madonna's masterpiece! This song remains among the most beautiful of all time! At least among the top 100 of the century! Epic video and a Maddy who really knew how to provoke! How happy I was when she pissed off the pope! They were wonderful days for me who hate the ecclesiastical system to death!
  13. Express Yourself - Beautiful! That's it.
  14. Cherish - Perhaps the one I like the least
  15. Vogue - I'm not thrilled at the beginning but the interlude is fabulous! The video is among the best ever along with the unrivaled ones of Michael Jackson!
  16. Justify My Love - Great sound and sensual rhythm! We'll never see an erotic Madonna like this again! I saw her Confession tour where she was trying to give one last display of her eroticism but I was overwhelmed by a wave of nausea!
  17. Rescue Me - Very nice closing song but nothing compared to the nostalgic and beautiful initial songs.

A nostalgically masterpiece pop collection!!!!!!!!! I don't care if Madonna isn't a great singer or an excellent dancer! She remains the supreme image of female pop stars! An 80s icon I will continue to miss for the rest of my life!!!!

Congratulations on the success she continues to achieve.. but she should achieve it with her real name. MADONNA belongs to the past!

Goodbye forever!
