@Spaccamascella: I'm also having trouble seeing the latest comments and reviews. I believe it's a technical issue. If that's the case, I kindly invite the Webmaster to take care of it.

Ah what a bummer, you even put darkwave among the genres... I'll give you another 5, here you go.

Congratulations Sanjuro, really funny and self-deprecating. Damn, I really liked it, well done again.

I must say that your proposal was really successful, Core.
The band in question is interesting, electrodark in a totally unexpected way and quite intriguing. Well done.

If it wasn't clear, my thinking is very much in line with that of the reviewer.

Well, to say that the Theatre of the first two albums have nothing to do with doom doesn't really correspond to the truth. Doom, at least in the self-titled debut, which I consider a good album, has it all compared to this one that I don't like much (apart from the artwork, of course :-)). The pairing of beauty and the beast worked quite well at the time and was fairly original (even though it had already been experimented with by Paradise Lost, as Norveheim rightly pointed out, in Gothic which is, in every sense, the album that started gothic metal). Afterward, as in all genres, hundreds of mediocre bands emulating this method significantly vulgarized the whole gothic scene.

Trooper, I saw that you reviewed the latest Maiden album as well. I may not be very original, but I recommend for your upcoming writings the relatively unknown "Octavarium" by the emerging Dream Theater and, above all, "The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" by Pink Floyd, about which, at least I believe, no one has spoken yet.

However, it must be admitted that the debaseriano Berlusca is much more likable than the original one.

Now I might face criticisms like, "But Evanescence aren’t gothic, they are... blah blah blah).
Well, then why play with this gothic attitude?
Doesn’t that seem just as calculated?
Not to mention the musical factor.
Overly predictable and banal songs, imitating the Gathering, which released albums with Anneke 15 years earlier, and focusing a lot on Amy's beauty rather than on the actual quality of their music.
I want to clarify that this is my opinion.
I wouldn’t want to find myself once again, and foolishly, insulted by the usual kids eager to defend the band at all costs.

Even musically, in my opinion, there is an infinite abyss between Rozz, Alice Cooper, and Ozzy Osbourne (not the current one who gets off on MTV, mind you) and the fake Manson. Did you notice that Ozzy is only shown on MTV for his ridiculous home videos and never for his clips and songs? Have you ever wondered why? I'll explain it to you: the musical Ozzy was a strong and uncomfortable character, but in a real sense and not the fake way that Manson is.
Coming back to the discussion about Slipknot, well, I have the impression that we can make more or less the same argument about Manson when it comes to crafting a sellable image for kids who are starting to believe they are counterculture. This whole discussion can also be applied to Evanescence, of course. I've come across kids dressed in black and heavily made up wearing the Evanescence logo. Crazy. The blame, of course, can only be on MTV.
