marked, great. delirious is beautiful: I have a Foetus record that is crazy (self-titled, 1998-99, mastered, go figure what it is...). "it's a whirling pandemonium of fireworks ruthlessly shot into the crowd. A wonderful party of horror, a tribal orgy of sound impulses destined for head-on collision in the overtaking lane" I love this a lot...editorz, but what are these bold?

Well, the image of Violante Placido encouraging the rhythm guitar ("melodic"??? à cicalò, what were you smoking?) is amazing! What a blast...

"At Last" is a devastating live-studio recording, a total jam where the tracks flow into one another, volumes cranked up, recorded on 4 tracks... in short, beautiful! This is the album with which I discovered these fuzz beasts, and I thought (on the contrary): if they can do THIS live, what will they ever do in the studio (i.e., with overdubs, mixing, trick tracks, and hand grenades!). "The Time Is Now!" another gem despite the cover ("artwork did not quite capture the mood of the band!") freaky-mc5. Anyway, I highly recommend "Everybody Knows We Got Nowhere" and the fabulous first one "Relaxing With." If you need a preview, you know where to find me on Soulseek; I have the entire discography including eps: but in general, do yourself a favor, BUY everything you can find!!! ciao

hiya biro! But what do you think about "Under Sided"? (because in the middle there's "Dead In the Water", which is beautiful by the way, but it's a compilation assembled with tapes recorded in the rehearsal room... delirious jam after delirious jam) If so, well, the latter is definitely more prickly, dirty, and layered... the paradox is that if you go back in their discography, you hit the only album recorded "clean"... the first one! "Relaxing With.." which is ten years old! Then... the delirium. SUPREMI... I will never get tired of saying it!!!
Charlie Parker The Complete Dial Sessions

The book by Julio Cortázar that I referred to is "The Pursuer," an unparalleled short story about the figure of Johnny Carter/Charlie Parker, which is a delightful inquiry into the irreducible otherness of artistic genius... no "animal" dimension... rather a wholly human non-rationality, an unconscious dimension of creativity that is both suffering and fulfillment together.

excellent Stoopid, if you could see me beyond the monitor, you would find me in a standing ovation right now...

to put it in the words of Julio Cortàzar: "An individual who, despite having enormous intuition, is very ignorant, very primitive. A character who does not think. A man who has no thoughts, but only sensations, who in his music, in his loves, in his vices, in his unhappiness acts always and only at the level of sensations..." ...the unforgettable Bird...
