Anyway, the guy who sings like Ian Curtis would be Paul Banks... you talk about Interpol as if they were an unknown band... whatever... this album is unfortunately crap... and to think that The Strokes, for me, made one of the best debut albums of recent years, but they declined quickly.

but in fact I didn't give a 5.. I gave a 3.. since in life there is not just the number 5 and the number 1.. for me, 1s are something else entirely.. then, whether they don't create masterpieces is not up for debate. However, if they produce fun pop music that makes you dance, even in their mediocrity, they do better than many others.. without creating Pure Art (nor even Impure). And not because I settle for mediocrity, but because the fact is that if I hear it in a venue, I have fun. That's not nothing, even though I know there is something more elevated culturally and artistically..

it was a pointless collection... like 99% of collections... besides, with the idea of including only the singles, they glossed over other tracks that are more essential than the singles themselves in summarizing 10 years of the chemical brothers...
