Then a reflection on VitelloBarzotto's comment. But how can you not hear the Pixies?? At least 3 tracks from the album remind me of Pixies songs, not to mention Rest my chemistry, which would perhaps be an understatement to call plagiarism... (that said, I still think they're one of the best bands of the decade, or mediocre decade as someone might say..)

I can't disagree with even one of the things you've said... unbelievable... not to mention that frankly, I would avoid writing a review when you give the same rating as an existing review for the same album... I find that the album is perfectly consistent with the previous ones, I find that it's not surprising at all, etc.

I don't see the Interpol on MTV very often.. anyway, let me tell you that the Interpol are not mainstream.. even though that's not a bad word..

I Love You But I've Chose Darkness, which piece are you referring to?

I would have some doubts about the fact that Interpol are mainstream... if Interpol are mainstream, what are Red Hot, U2, and Finley?

simply 2 or 3 stunning songs placed among 5 or 6 other nice songs.. not at the level of turn.. better than antics. Then if we talk in terms of derivation and so on, that's another story, but with the interpol I can't help it, I like them too much; for me, they are definitely the best band of recent years, or rather, before the little romance of easycure, which I like more..

easycure if you can't understand the differences between Arcade Fire and Laura Pausini on your own.. listen to Laura Pausini..

I still talk about the north, south, west, and east of the 883 every now and then… is it a masterpiece?

Frankly, I don't know where you can find the mainstream in this.. if you really want to look for it, you'll find it much more in the previous one, which despite its name was much less funereal and had songs with a much more pronounced pop melody and indeed mainstream (but not too much).. the first one was quite direct for at least 6 or 7 songs, much much more than this. That said, I preferred the first one, but maybe this one will grow over time.. sometimes masterpieces are albums that don't convince you or catch you off guard at first listen.. this one, to be honest, doesn’t catch me off guard at all but it doesn’t convince me at all.. who knows..
