Lord, don’t hit the pots with chopsticks, but with other pots!: these are the little refinements that distinguish good records from masterpieces :).........beautiful review Gino, compliments!

First of all, I want to compliment Claudio Carpentieri for all his excellent reviews on Dire Straits, a band I might not be head over heels for, but that I really like a lot (maybe I was head over heels a few years ago...). A question to Claudio or anyone: I've always thought that the riff of "Money for Nothing" had something to do with that of "Jumpin' Jack Flash" by the Stones; in short, there’s some kind of resemblance...what do you think?

Well, the gap must absolutely be filled! Thank you once again, Lewis... I also thought about the doubt raised by Stoopid: who knows the answer, people? Just from my gut, I would say without a doubt that Dolphy's title is posterior (1964, right?).

I saw him this summer at Villa Celimontana in Rome with his group of "young talents," as he calls them, and with his wife: he is always a great person, as well as funny and silly in a way I really like......... they even performed a piece he called "Sardo": they sang together in a tenor style around the piano repeating: Paolo Fresu Paolo Fresu..... ;)

Yes, I know Zappa's album (I even reviewed it;...), I wasn’t quite sure if Winston did a cover of that song...... As for "Hex," in the meantime you can check out the 2 reviews of the album on Debaser, both well done. To explain what Hex is, you really have to make an effort: it’s a kind of "nocturnal jazz" mixed with a bit of so-called "post-rock" (a term I hate, but just to make it clear...)...... In short, an evocative and magical album: Yes, that’s it: evocative, magical, and floating in undefined atmospheres of rare beauty. Since Bark Psychosis arose from the ashes of the last Talk Talk, you can imagine a similarity with "Spirit of Eden" or "Laughing Stock," although there are differences... I recommended it simply because I think you might like it after reading some of your reviews (among music listeners, we help each other, right?)...

very heartfelt and well done......but I didn't understand one thing Mariaelena: is the track titled Zappa just a homonym or is it a cover?.......I'm slowly starting to understand your tastes and I'll give you a tip (unless you already know it): hex by bark psychosis......;)
