I understand you, God, but what does progressive mean to you? This should be specified: I have never agreed with those who use progressive to refer to the usual early 70s groups like Genesis, Yes, King Crimson, etc.... I believe this is a constraint of record labels that need to make a product more palatable. I've always tried to provide a rough framework by reasoning about music (after all, one has to do that), but with the term progressive we need to be more cautious: the scope is vast. I can say that my conception of progressive is something that "progresses" towards other forms of musical aesthetics, starting from certain foundations and transcending their boundaries. Of course, according to this reasoning, far too many albums should be labeled progressive, and in many cases there would be rightful dissonances. So it's better to tread carefully, but in some instances, one can dare, right? ;)

this emptiness regarding "The Parable..." has finally been filled: thanks enrybaxx, although I too thought about it several times; but it was complicated to write this review, I must say you did a great job. The album is amazing, as we know, and maybe Dave is right;)
