In dummy up, there's a whole amusing discussion about having to smoke your high school diploma..........don't ask me what it means (that's the beauty of Zappa)!

my opinion: don't you think that in the eighties, already from Sheik Yerbouti, Zappa tended to fill every song that came his way with solos? for heaven's sake, there were some beautiful solos, but at times we find ourselves facing "kilometric" solos that perhaps lack fresh ideas, what do you say? (now I'm dead.......:). The unfortunate thing is that this discussion has also been brought up by Scaruffi....

Antonio is right: for example, the solo in "Another Brick in the Wall (Part II)" is in my opinion the most beautiful of all time, and if it weren't for that solo, the song (which, let's be clear, is part of a unique whole with everything else in The Wall) wouldn't be so outstanding.........

I would also mention Inca Roads (and also the one quoted by Symbad)........anyway, this ranking thing is just to pass the time while having fun (I enjoy making them, in the style of High Fidelity by Nick Hornby).......at least it brings up good ideas for discussions.
