Pendragon Believe

You might think I'm crazy, but I love "Utrecht...the final frontier": I know it's a live album, but "Kowtow" in this version is absolutely beautiful! I guess we're the only two listening to them in all of Italy, since I had to go to Switzerland to find "Believe" and the remastered version of "The jewel" on its release day (the SPV, the European distributor for our favorites, is German, and thus...Audioglobe and the others always arrive late and poorly, alas!). Maybe I was a bit harsh with "Believe": after such a long silence, I expected something better. Not that I know what, but I wanted to listen to Pendragon, and instead I found them fragmented, choppy, and not even that great. I was disappointed, but I can't give them more than three stars, no matter how much I care for them! Do yourself this Christmas gift, if you can: buy it and tell me what you think, since whenever I talk about them, people treat me like a patient from the mental health center. Bye and best wishes!
P.S.: maybe I was a bit skimpy with this review too, and I renew my invitation, if you want, to help me with the other reviews I have in the works about them.

You overlooked "The Hollow Man" in the descriptive notes, and that's a shame. I haven't seen the tour, so I don't know how it sounds live. I can tell you, though, that when the album was released, Hogarth went to Red Ronnie (I don’t remember either the show or the channel): he performed it live with just voice and piano, it was something insane. I agree with those who say this album is better than Marbles.

I retract the nonsense written above: I will be less stingy!

You're right, I could have written a bit more, but I preferred to stick to the site's guidelines, which advise not to exceed a certain length for the piece. I'm glad that someone loves the Pendragon like I do. I don't agree with you on the two albums that, in your opinion, are the best. If you're interested, and if the editorial team allows it, the review of "Believe" should be coming out soon. I plan to review all their albums, and if you want, we could also co-write. I'll definitely take your advice into account: next time I'll be more frugal.
