It seems to me that we have different judgments on the individual songs, but not on the overall value. In my opinion, "breaking the girls" is the worst song, while "if u have to ask," "sir psycho sexy," and "funky monks" I like a lot. On the other hand, I also really enjoy the early RHCP, the ones produced by the legendary George Clinton, which had a sound reminiscent of The Parliaments.
Manu Chao Radio Bemba Sound System

I liked Mano Negra much more, with Manu Chao and his cousin, they were amazing! But it seems that Manu Chao brings that music back live.
Maceo Parker Live On Planet Groove
Voto:
I link Jaco Pastorius to Maceo Parker for tracks like "the chicken." Don Byron has released all different CDs, some in the New Orleans Jazz style (Bug Music), some more funky (New Blaxploitation), and some it seems even in a Cuban style. Anyway, it's true that it's a stretch to assimilate these artists...

Dear steveweb, I insist on the CD "Live at Apollo" by James Brown (which you probably already know) as it is the essence of that kind of music. In the same vein, there are also Don Byron (an incredibly talented clarinetist about whom I will write something) and Jaco Pastorius (the most ingenious bassist of the century). Enjoy listening!

I thank this last burst of generosity from the reviewers.... As for me, what can I say? For now, I will try not to compare myself with the milestones of music until I've acquired a "basic technique" as a reviewer; for the rest, I will strive to improve!

When I think of heavy covers, I am mainly reminded of the covers by the Parliaments, Funkadelics, George Clinton, etc... etc... covers (over)filled with details. In this context, the extreme simplicity of the Dark Side cover stands out.
Green Day American Idiot

The review is written quite well, maybe it's a bit lengthy, this album doesn't seem phenomenal enough to warrant this effort. Tracks that sell well, very clever content, among those in their genre that I tolerate the most. For me, it's an album to listen to only if at that moment you have nothing better on hand (which is far from difficult).

Um... I wanted to give 4... let’s average it out...
