"Push The Button". On March 1, 2005, at the Filaforum in Assago, together with another 12,000 people, I pushed the button... And now it's time to write a good review of this album, since I see that no review worthy of this album has been written... pressing my little buttons on the keyboard...
The chemical brothers return in 2005 with this new album... and they do so by continuing to amaze... If there had been rumors of their possible breakup (simply due to a well-deserved period of rest and meditation) after the release of "Come With Us", the naysayers will have to reconsider and eat their words. Driven by the single "Galvanize", the album is mainly characterized by a house vibe, I would say. Very club-like. You can feel it in songs like "Believe", "Hold Tight London", and "Surface To Air" (these are mainly the most significant songs). If in some respects one could shout about another masterpiece, then there are songs like "The Boxer" or "Left Right" that make me frown... and others, however, that literally make you dream... a magic that only they know how to create... which I have yet to find in any other artist... Songs like "Surface To Air" (the last track on the album) are pure poetry... for the ears... And it is precisely with this song, in this atmosphere that it manages to recreate... that it seems almost like a farewell... not a goodbye... that the Chemical Brothers... will continue to amaze us for a very long time...
Tunz ... tunz ... tunz ... Push the button... tunz ... tunz ... tunz ...
WONDERFUL.
Push The Button is a KOLOSSAL! A Ben-Hur of commercial electronic music!
Making “chemical” music means knowing how to dose many elements into the cauldron and knowing how to renew oneself from time to time.
