I bow to wisdom. Wonderful review. I don't know the album (as always, after all).

You know what? I just read... he sent me a private message. I'm such an idiot. I never read them. Sorry, damn it! He also gave me your cell phone number. What a fool! :(

Hello Turkish. It’s a pleasure to read you on these pages. Were you in Trondheim? When? Nobody wrote to me. I would have liked to meet you too. We could have had a ridiculously expensive beer! @Odradek: I recommend this one, also because, being the first album, they had that creative euphoria that characterizes the first albums of almost all bands. @Doppler: what do you mean? By the way, I’ve only ā€œheardā€ Hoyem's usual album in a record store and it’s very ā€œmadrugadoso.ā€

@Nick: First of all, I appreciate that you expressed all your concerns :). I’ll try to respond in broad strokes. Definition of a one-man band: maybe you’ve never seen them live :). Hoyem is 90% of madrugada. He’s an exceptional frontman, and surely without his voice, they wouldn’t have sold much more than a few copies in Norway. The music is partly written by the guitarist (true), but the lyrics are practically all written by him. The comparisons with other authors: as you can see, I put a question mark after each name. That is to say, in some passages, one can glimpse tones that have made "famous" artists more celebrated than him. I didn’t mean to say he’s the same as Jeff Buckley, but at certain moments (personally speaking), he reminds me of him. Regarding the "monster"... well, perhaps as a statement, it’s indeed a bit (but deliberately) forced. It might raise eyebrows for those who already know the album, but I don’t think it’s misleading for those who haven’t listened to it yet. As for the arrangements: the arrangements of Industrial silence were crafted by Hoyem, but not for the subsequent albums. Chapter Nightly disease: I’m starting to think I haven’t listened to the album properly. I’m fundamentally more attached to the deep end and this work here, so maybe I see and judge them more with my heart than with my head. I promise I’ll make an effort. @Editors: I sincerely apologize! I forgot to look for the song list with freedb. I understand it’s a mortal boredom!

@Sfacia et saputello: Thank you. @Lemuro: I wasn't crazy about A nightly disease, but "de gustibus". @Editors: Thank you for adding the bold text and especially for adding the publication year (otherwise it would have been year 0 like in almost all my reviews :)).

A couple of things. @Bisius. Do you really have to vote every time you write a comment? @Nouquito: I don’t agree with the criticisms, nor the way you present them. Crude and vulgar, in short, lacking class. Let’s say you know how to write, but if you stepped down from that pedestal you’ve constructed for yourself, you might come across as more likable. Another thing. Where did you see the question mark in Is this it(?). And then... what kind of cover is that? Have you ever listened to the album or did you just do a nice copy and paste? I don’t know... whatever. In any case, the album is more than nice. Some ideas are really interesting. If this were all the crap MTV throws at us, it wouldn’t be so bad sitting in front of the TV.

Well, the guy on the cover has quite the punchable face.
