Almamegretta DubFellas

Lingo is a great album, probably their best. From there on, they started to repeat themselves. They are still a quality band. Nice review, although for Alma it could have been a bit harsher.

I correct myself: the '80s are remembered for ties with printed keyboards, guitar-shaped keytars, and big hair. Not to mention McGyver and Sting (who, after all, are the same person). Let's also throw in the "clap clap" that can be found in every respectable '80s song, that shit of a "drum machine," and the Coca-Cola commercial where everyone sang "vorrei cantare insieme a voi in magica armonia...". Ah, and let's not forget that they are also remembered for that jerk Michael Jackson and his glossy rival Madonna, not to mention Belinda Carlisle... in short... the lovely shit years.

Personally: I've read much better ones, done by the same mariaelena. Him: boring. But it's always just the opinion of someone who's fighting the flu with a stuffy nose. And he's therefore pissed off at the world!

I love this album and I consider it perhaps the one that suits my ear the most of the entire quadrilogy. Tanderine, gallows pole... pearls of infinite beauty. 5, definitely 5!
Pavement Westing (By Musket And Sextant)
Voto:
I owe Pavement for introducing me to indie rock. I absolutely love their earlier albums (wowee zowee above all, but crooked rain also stayed in my playlist for a long time). They are one of those bands that, perhaps overrated, have nonetheless given a strong push to music. A kind of Nirvana of indie rock.
