The review says it all... in the sense that, for those (like many) who don't know the album, it describes exactly what the listener will encounter. Anyway, from what you write, I gather that you are also aware of Malmsteen's limits... the exaggeration of his ego to make the song serve his guitar. Nevertheless, despite appearances, know that I have greatly appreciated works like The Seven Sign, Magnum Opus, Eclipse, or Facing the Animal from the acrobatic guitarist. His problem is precisely the absolute self-referential degeneration. A guitarist of that caliber could have contributed much more to music if he had given up a fragment of his infinite "I" to serve the band... (without, of course, sacrificing his intrinsic dominance). Such a balance could perhaps be exemplified by a band like Van Halen. Although he is one of the greatest guitarists of all time, the balance of his band has never depended solely on him; in fact, during the days of Diamond Dave, one could say that it was the latter who was the "Malmsteen" of the case!!!!!

exactly.....Faith No More, Angel Dust above all....an album that speaks for itself...I love the second to last track...the one that after a delirium of violence ends with the organ and the choir...immense!!

Yes, you are right dear Enrico.. however, my genres are broader.. ranging from thrash to gothic and from crossover to pop!!!.. anyway, I’m not familiar with this album... in fact, I own the previous Twice Shy and the great Once Bitten (then I have one from 2000, but I honestly don't remember the title.....) however, I assume it doesn’t stray too far from those sounds.. right?

I visited the infamous site... in fact, I had already visited it in the past... and I have to confirm that it is indeed very detailed (there's even a photo of the gravestone, for necrophiles!!!) It certainly has a tone that might be considered somewhat "dramatic" ("the day the music died...!!!!")... but aside from this exaggeration, I must say it's really a great site for Randy's fans.

Hi Enrico... I saw that you sent me a private message... unfortunately this site is giving me problems and, as a result, I can never read them... Also my friend Fidia sent me one but then he had to rewrite it... Did you have something to tell me? Hi Vin.

It's true... I agree with you... underrated album... not a masterpiece, for heaven's sake... but some songs are beautiful... and quite a lot! Educated fool, Don't look to the eyes of the strangers... and (I'm a bit ashamed) but I even like COMO ESTAS AMIGOS!!!!! Just to be clear, though: the masterpieces of the Maiden are a decade behind this album...

Well done.. I fully agree with you.. you had the courage to say what quite a few people really think anyway... Beyond the commercial contamination, ReLoad was a good album. Discussing records like St. Anger might be pointless, because in the end what ruins that album, apart from the sound quality, is exactly the lousy recording technique.. done practically on ski slopes..!! The tracks you pointed out are the most representative of this album, but in general I would say that the entire CD is more than decent. I place it below Load simply because it is made up of the leftovers of the latter... In short, in my opinion, Load and Reload are like Costantino Vitagliano for the girls... All say he’s a jerk, that he doesn't know how to speak Italian.. etc.. etc.. all that kind of stuff.. but deep down, at least a little, they all drool over him... I give you a 4 for the courage, but keep in mind that the review, objectively, deserves much less (2), as it's too concise.

..ok thanks a thousand for the advice...I on the other hand keep insisting you check out Pain of Salvation...however, if you listen to their latest album (BE) you need to be ready to abandon metal for a complete, ambitious work that practically circumnavigates the musical planet...You will either consider it a masterpiece or you will hate it...Moreover, I would really like to listen to two bands I’ve heard good things about...IQ...(a prog band from England active for over 20 years...) and Transatlantic...(a side project of Mike Portnoy, the bassist of Marillion, two other big names...). I haven’t listened to them, but from what I’ve read they must be very, very interesting.... Bye!!
