Madonna Hard Candy

Madonna has to resort to these carnival antics to compensate for her lack of musical talent, and Timbaland has been a pain in the ass and artistically dead since around 2003... the single is unbearable and will be forgotten like "Me Against The Music" with Britney Spears! You could have also spared us the comparison between Björk and PJ Harvey and Madonna...

I agree with the girl from muitosau and jakechambers! The taste for beauty is definitely subjective... I repeat: everyone is Free!!! However, canonically speaking about aesthetics, it cannot be said that it's worthless. Period.

Of course the cover is awesome.. here people don't know what irony is and then it was pretty predictable that she would do an editorial-style cover for a fashion magazine... damn, after all if there's one thing she knows how to do besides attacking waitresses, it's posing. If some people think it's crappy, too bad... everyone is free!

When it comes to music, we all agree, but to say it's garbage just makes me think that your comments are driven by the fact that you can only look at someone like that in photos... an insult to femininity. Yeah, look, shaving in the bathroom is something only women who lack self-awareness do. In my opinion, there's quite a bit of envy and hypocrisy at play here.

But how can you vote on a review if you haven't even listened to the album? I'm referring to those commentators who have voted on it...just because it's grammatically correct? There can't be a vote if you haven't listened to the album, you're voting on nothing!

Mezzanine came out shortly after and it’s undeniably a 5-star album, but you can't deny that the period of the bristolsound had already crumbled, just as the band in question eventually did, and all the Massive Attack albums have catchy melodies... we certainly didn’t need to wait for Teardrop to know that.

The first paragraph could have also not been there! "This record is the testimony of a period as creative as it is original." This is to be seen in the sense that there were certainly pioneers of the Bristol sound, but immediately a series of indigestible clones came out, rather ridiculous and therefore not very original, and anyone who lived through the period, musically speaking, cannot deny it. Then you say, "Is this the Forefather of such a fleeting genre..." but no! Do some proper research... if anything, this is the epilogue, but in grand style!
@purpulan, they said it wasn't up to the debut, but also because, as I've already explained, hip hop had become tiresome by '97 as it had been so overused (music, fashion, cinema, and television). So despite the poetry of this record, we were a bit exhausted by the genre.
