Olivier Dahan La Vie En Rose

oh, I must have missed this one; maybe it’s because I don’t like the song that much and I admit I read it half-heartedly because the character doesn't really draw me in. A movie about Cerdan, now that would be cool (not for any outdated machismo), but what has come out is interesting. The point is, if Debaser is a music site, born as a music site, it’s strange that now album reviews don’t stay on the homepage for long. It must have been a lifesaving choice to open up to cinema, but many who only review albums—and it seems there are quite a few—(and several film reviews done by those who review albums very well are quite amateurish) I don’t think want to struggle for such little publicity.

I've always liked the one where the rabbit hides in the bar and the judge sings the little song, you can see Roger uncontainable and bursting out of the wall!

Ralph Bakshi Fritz The Cat (Fritz Il Gatto)

the comic is too beautiful, I’ve never seen the movie by him, Bakshi, I’ve spotted something somewhere but it didn’t excite me, too deliberately ā€œdisruptiveā€ I believe.
Tinto Brass Così Fan Tutte

The myth of Brass as a master of eroticism, archpriest of pleasure, should also be debunked; Brass's work is a display, an illustration of male desire. When it goes well, Brass's eroticism is neither mythical nor poetic; it is simply a tired gallery of pseudo-erotic situations drawn from a personal and collective pantheon that is disheveled, at times vulgar, and never, I say never, rises to an epic of sex. There is far more erotic drive in films by the great masters—I'll randomly mention, for example, Belle de jour—than in a thousand buttocks of Tinto.

I prefer Lady Vendetta.

You know, I think that slo-core has little to say. I mean, it’s true what they say: when taken to the extreme, slo-core is a song "without music, without sound, without singing." Do you remember the back cover of Frigid Star by Codeine, where there's this guy sprawled on the bed? An image of inertia, apathy, inability to live, which is quite disheartening. Once you've said that, there's little else to add. For Park, however, there might still be a chance for redemption, and I wouldn't really call this album slo-core, at least not in its poetic substance. Anyway, it's always interesting to exchange views with you. Bye! :D

Wow, already inducing you to re-listen is an honor Fest, you know how savvy you are :) no, I didn't want to make a comparison with the Bitch but just to point out how from that experience various products have emerged, the avant-garde attempts of Grubbs, often more than successful, and these Seam, precisely at the edge, but as I say apparently, of pop triviality.
