But the transition from the market in Genoa to Jamin-a's room, in a cinematic editing style, isn't it brilliant?

Well, thousands of things have been said about this album... I’d like to add a couple of points... it's often forgotten to mention that, at the suggestion of De André himself, the language used is Genoese, but quite an atypical Genoese, almost becoming a sort of mother tongue of the Mediterranean... the album also cannot be classified as ethnic or world music, as many of the instruments used, notably the stringed ones which are all played with a plectrum, are medieval or Renaissance instruments, so it’s a work that digs into the musical past as well... And then "ma in Sidun," isn’t it a mother that cries??? (spremmûu 'nta maccaia de stæ de stæ)...

Once someone tried to write a review made up solely of posts... well, if it’s true that on Debaser the judgment is a mix of the author (of the review) and readers (often much more interesting), here it was somewhat programmatic indeed... anyway, okay Anonimo, you hit the nail on the head... now I’ll use a big word... the album is an experience, every album, but this one in particular is synesthetic... so a very material, almost physical sound that makes the instruments seem to materialize next to you every time they play, only to disappear and leave a trace not just in your ears... the compositions, some date back to the late '60s (SentireAscoltare) so... (by the way, how to describe the piano from the first painting of knowledge... those sound moments that tear through the silence... yes, silences are fundamental...) as for the rest, I’m working on it (via Emule)!
