Christina Aguilera Stripped

Wild? In a way, yes, you've captured it very well Raf'lett, although I would have playfully defined her as more aggressive... As for the skills, I can't help but agree, while still finding this album enjoyable and significantly superior when compared to everything that daily infests music networks (MTV, DeejayTv, MatchMusic...). My thought remains the same: if there were a more conscious consumption of music, artists like Aguilera would certainly struggle more to stand out, and would better utilize certain qualities (the voice) rather than others (the butt).

I haven't heard the album, but I must disagree with two of your statements. Firstly, the eight musicians aren't all that great; I've always found their live performances extremely chaotic (I'm talking about the videos; perhaps here a good technician is at work and the sounds are better managed). And who is underestimating them? I have all their albums, and I believe I don't regret the money spent just for the self-titled one, truly a great record. As for the subsequent ones: overhyped and overly commercialized, made to sell to a bunch of kids looking for a cool band to pose with! (First the fake brutality of Iowa, then that hybrid of The Subliminal..)

By the way, the songs from the bonus disc It's me again and Eaten up inside are more beautiful than the entire album (subjective opinion).

I've listened to it thoroughly... I like it, and quite a lot. Since the days of Follow the Leader, I find it the most significant; similar to Untouchables in its intentions, but more complete in pushing forward sound experimentation. It's recorded very well (with a great setup featuring powerful subs, it sounds marvelous) and the vocals are at their usual level. The limited edition is a gem: the 3D digipack is an incredible delight, with well-crafted (and trippy) artwork. After years, it's the first time I don't feel down the moment I insert the CD with Korn written on it into the player.

Great album, nice review. What more can I say?
Maceo Parker Live On Planet Groove

Some names that lean towards Jazz-funk: Fred Wesley, The J.B.'s
Some names that lean towards Funk-jazz: George Clinton, Bootsy Collins, James Brown (of whom Maceo was the saxophonist).
I'm sure others will be able to help you better than I can; in the meantime, I'm happy to have introduced Maceo to someone!

Thank you for the comments, I take note of them. Speaking of Piper at the Gates of Dawn, everyone says it's the best; personally, I find it hard to digest precisely because of its overly psychedelic style (I admit I've listened to it little), but that's a limitation of mine. That's why I said that despite my subjective opinion, Dark Side is not the best album by Pink Floyd.
