I recommend some other CDs... even if you might already know some of them:
Cinderella - "Long Cold Winter" and "Night Songs" (if you like ballads and "country-like" sounds, I also suggest "Heartbreak Station")
Bon Jovi - absolutely the fantastic triple play "Slippery When Wet," "New Jersey," "Keep the Faith"... an excellent album is also the self-titled one and "These Days" (even though it leans more toward pop...)
Slaughter - I just started listening to them "the right way"... anyway, I recommend "Stick It to Ya"
Motley Crue - "Too Fast for Love" (too bad about the terrible production), "Girls, Girls, Girls" (more bluesy), "Shout at the Devil," and above all "Dr. Feelgood," which has an incredible production and sound...
Great White - "Once Bitten, Twice Shy," "Hooked," and the tribute to Led Zeppelin, truly excellent... they do "hard'n'blues"
Poison - "Open Up and Say... Ahh!" and "Look What the Cat Dragged In"
Giant - "Time to Burn"
Ratt - "Out of the Cellar" and "Invasion of Your Privacy," above all
You probably have/know all the albums I mentioned... anyway, I hope I've helped you in your search for something "new" to listen to...

I'm very pleased to have found an "ally" as well... as you may have noticed, the '80s, and especially glam, are greatly disliked by the users of Debaser. I've often found myself arguing with people who blame me for not respecting their tastes when in fact they were the first to criticize mine. I think you're new around here... but I don't know. Anyway, the genre we love is always under scrutiny!
I absolutely don't consider you ignorant... on the contrary! Believe me, I've discovered many bands by listening to various American radio stations that exclusively play hard rock, and I can say I've developed a decent knowledge of that period.
I recommend the first two albums by Warrant: "Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich" and even more so "Cherry Pie." As for Winger, their self-titled album (even though it was later retitled "Sahara").
Regarding the others, listen to the various greatest hits and then evaluate whether it's worth diving into their specific discography since they aren't "top bands." Personally, my favorites remain Bon Jovi (not so much in recent years) and Cinderella... but those are purely personal tastes.

oh my god, not the Guns! I like Appetite... but not that much.. anyway, I love all the music from those years.. especially Cinderella, Tesla, Autograph, Bon Jovi, Britny Fox, Firehouse, Motley Crue, Slaughter, Giant, Great White, Krokus, Keel, Kiss, Kingdom Come, Leatherwolf, LA Guns, Skid Row, Scorpions, Ozzy, Msg, New York Dolls, Mr. Big, Queensryche, Poison, Sammy Hagar, Ratt, Dio, Steel Dragon (I don’t know if you’ve seen the movie "Rockstar".. they’re amazing..), Stryper, Black Crowes, Cult, Tuff, Vain, Van Halen, WASP, Warrant, Whitesnake, Winger, Yngwie Malmsteen... and many more..
Anyway, I meant to make a friendly comment.. and rereading it, I noticed it might come off a bit "harsh".. so I apologize.. after all, you seem like a big fan of 80's music.. and every glamster is like a brother to me.. hehe :P

I don't share your statement in which you proclaim the White Lion as the best band of the 80s. They were more than valid, and I always enjoy listening to them, but none of their albums has ever particularly captured me. It was only Bratta's solos (sorry for the pun) that gave some identity to it all. In the album in question (as reiterated by Core), the production and sound are truly excellent. As for the rest, it's a work that doesn't exceed the passing mark.
