Iron Maiden Dance of Death

I agree in saying that it isn't the usual Maiden album, but there are no prog or folk sounds.

Linkin Park Meteora

Well, keep in mind that the Sex Pistols were the biggest representatives of punk (the real one!!!)...... frankly, I don't like punk.
Sargeist Satanic Black Devotion

I feel like vomiting... anyway, the CD is nice.

cliffburton, I just downloaded a live video of Metallica from way back in 1985, Fade to Black, when James Hetfield and the gang still had long, pristine hair... there's also Cliff Burton... what an emotion to see him again... sigh, sigh, sob...
Black Sabbath Paranoid

I agree with you, mazzu, even if thanks to that song, people have gotten closer to Black Sabbath and the heavy sounds.
Evanescence Fallen

thedentist, your opinion, I’m afraid, sounds like that of an intellectual jerk and a failure... the music I listen to may not be "highbrow," but those bands have really busted their asses to learn an instrument and to study; they have truly given a lot to rock, not thinking about money (at least in the beginning...) but only about the desire to make noise and play. And you've really annoyed everyone with this de gustibus nonsense: when a band sucks, it sucks! and you have to admit it (even if you never will, unfortunately).
Linkin Park Meteora

Of course things should change, but certainly not for the worse like Linkin Park does. Listen to me well: if you only took the time to really listen to some pure bastard metal CDs from the '80s (Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Death, Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, etc.), after a while you would understand that L.P. are nothing in comparison; they are rubbish and you'd realize that, in the end, they haven't invented anything new... they are just the commercial product of a big record label, nothing more... And you want to discover new musical genres? Go listen to that genius called Frank Zappa (provided you know who he is), and then we can talk about it again...

Take The Number of the Beast, Piece of Mind, Powerslave, and Brave New World, blend them well, add a pinch of medieval sound (but certainly not prog or epic), a few keyboard accents, cook everything at a fairly high temperature, and you'll get Dance of Death... beautiful Paschendale, Dance of Death, and No More Lies.
