No, I didn't notice you, also because they were always focusing on the group and the audience was immersed in darkness.

Anonymous, Metallica made an album called Master of Puppets, one of the greatest metal records ever conceived… if in your immense wisdom you only know "Nothing Else Matters" and you act so high and mighty… it seems like you’re the poor one after all.

Anyway, metalhead, are you up for exchanging CDs via email? Just put the tracks in mp3 on your computer and that's it, it doesn't take much. If you want, give me your email.

You're dead wrong: heavy metal is a genre that combines hard rock with the speed of punk. Even if Harris claims to hate punk, it was actually Iron Maiden that fused these two genres, just listen to their early albums (the number is more mature). And then, easycure, punk was born in the second half of the 70s with the Sex Pistols and Ramones, while metal would emerge five or six years later (please note that I’m not defending punk music, which I hate with all my soul, I don’t like it). Metallaro, your reasoning about values sounded a bit... "strange": the music we listen to, metal in general, cannot be defined as a genre full of moral principles and values. Satan, evil, death, destruction, madness are not criteria accepted by everyone and viewed positively, so blaming the Guns for glorifying sex, drugs, and other bullshit doesn’t seem coherent to me... anyway, these are obviously my opinions and I don’t want to piss anyone off.

Calm down metalhead, no problem... in my opinion, Appetite for Destruction is a solid album; back then, the pinnacle of metal was that along with Iron Maiden. I'm only talking about Appetite because I acknowledge that the others are terrible, and I agree with you when you say that Guns N' Roses were a band for girls, but only after Appetite. With Use Your Illusion I and II, they became as commercial as possible; what can you do, even Iron Maiden has turned into a shadow of their former selves and now they play Top of the Pops. At that time, metal was just taking its first steps; there were still new paths, new sounds, and new genres to discover. The Guns, with Appetite, were one of the first heavy metal bands in history. One last thing: you mentioned punk and glam rock. Metal actually derives from these genres: it's the combination of punk's speed and hard rock's aggression.
