One last thing: they may be ultra-overrated (which I don't really think they are), but definitely in Italy, where everyone just plays power-epic metal, they are the only ones playing black and being appreciated abroad as well.

I saw Theatres of Vampires in concert in Lecce during the Festivhell and I didn't really like them much. Then they played "Suicide Vampire" and I was significantly impressed, and afterwards I also got "The Vampire Chronicle" and "Vampyrisme" (the one played with Gyan Piras from Cradle). I really like Nightbreed; you can tell the band wants to evolve and not stick to the usual black (you can notice this also from Alexander's vocals, which are much more theatrical and gothic). The only thing I've never liked about Theatres is the sound of the instruments (especially the drums) that seem a bit fake, plastic, I don't know... they don't sound like the usual black sounds. What do you think, Dying Sun?

ahi ahi ahi we are not there at all... unfortunately lately everyone associates any group with a female voice to those damn Evanescence, they even compare them to bands that have been around for about ten years (like Lacuna Coil or Nightwish). If, then, we gravely base the true importance of a group on the sales of the CD they've made, we're in big trouble!!! Have you ever heard of TV? of radio? of singles? of trends (because Evanescence are a trend)? People are atrociously influenced by that beast known as TV that airs scandalous programs like MTV and Top of the Pops. Evanescence is all about image, true gothic is something else entirely! Some names?: Paradise Lost, Theatre of Tragedy, My Dying Bride, Tristania, Tiamat, Lake of Tears, Moonspell, etc.... these are the real gothic bands, what Evanescence offers is just supermarket rock-pop.

Great album and great Judas, without them metal would have never existed. The drum intro of the title track is an incredible rock-shattering moment, it makes me want to destroy everything. GREAT JIGORO
