Listen to me well, guys, this review will NOT BECOME "METROPOLIS 2 By Easycure" -The Return. What I said is written up there. I won’t repeat the same concepts over and over again. You want to listen to the DT? Do as you please. I'm going back to listen to Foetus. Bye everyone, without any resentment.

I agree, Dave, it steps outside the canonical prog, it's a total masterpiece... and they compare it to Systematic Chaos... poor me.
Daniel Johnston Yip/Jump Music

Punny, I told you that you wouldn't like Daniel Johnston very much.. in fact, if Johnston's songs are sung and played by a normal singer, they become very mediocre songs. Since he plays and sings them himself, being a living masterpiece, they are shaped by his tender and tragic sensitivity to life, resulting in little masterpieces... do you agree?

Muse91, you're a total fool. Like, really foolish. You offended me in your first post, and I simply replied, "And maybe you also like Muse, right?" I didn’t even care about you; I just pointed out to squonk (not you) that it might be time to broaden one's musical horizons to understand why DT are really nothing special. And you think I don’t know AREA and PREMIATA FORNERIA MARCONI? Even my grandma knows those bands! You don't like rock, you only like PROGRESSIVE ROCK, which is something entirely different. You're just the usual progressive maniac who thinks that progressive is the definitive genre and other nonsense like that, and you probably believe that technique is everything in music, etc., etc. My son, I used to think like this two years ago, then I evolved a bit. PLEASE, EXPAND YOUR HORIZONS. And you want to have fun with me? Are you seriously comparing Daydream Nation with this crap called Systematic Chaos? The real masterpieces of prog are In the Court of the Crimson King, Third by Soft Machine, Rock Bottom by Wyatt, not Systematic Chaos. I couldn't care less how well someone can play; I repeat, I don’t give a damn if there's no minimal expressiveness behind the technique. Sonic Youth like Finley? Oh my God, just shut up, you would look better that way.

Are you backing out too, Dreamteater? Now you’re relying on your buddy Squonk? What’s this story about "how hard it is to play a DT piece"? But what do I care about the technique when THIS ALBUM is SOAKED IN ROCK STEREOTYPES as if it were a study guide?

And then what do you vote every time you comment? We get it, you like this masterpiece of systemtic, and you don't like my review. Are you trying to play childish tricks on me by lowering my average? Here's how much I care about the average. Isn't it time to grow up a little, squonk, and mature?

Kid me? And you're good listening to the DT? But maybe it's time for you to get some culture, friend Squonk? "Anyway, the comparison with the Sonic is really ridiculous and pretentious." The Sonic Youth are worth 300 times more than the DT, get used to it. Or should we talk about the Pere Ubu? That the Pere Ubu have innovated is a subjective matter in your opinion? But why are you talking about things you don't know, for what reason?

Squonk, I'm sorry, but you really haven't understood a thing. First of all, I KNOW VERY WELL THAT I DON'T KNOW, since I'm always hungry for new listens (from bands I KNOW I don't know), and since opinions can change over time and develop (the fact that I used to like the Dt and now I don't is proof of that). Then you have to realize that Sonic Youth, for example, innovated NOT SUBJECTIVELY, but OBJECTIVELY (or at least in a rather tangible way). Ask a rock historian and critic, let's see what they say, okay? By doing this, you completely nullify CRITICISM, which is the intellectual counterpart that culturally legitimizes art. That doesn’t make sense. Mine is indeed a subjective point of view, but I always express it with a critical method, so it can have objective relevance (but not objective in the sense that you can literally touch it, obviously; it's not a ballpoint pen... I’m talking about logical objectivity related to history and the innovation that arises from it). In other words, Sonic Youth gave birth to Noise Rock, providing the general coordinates for all the noise bands to come. Furthermore, in addition to this, Sonic Youth are endowed with extreme expressivity. Innovation + expressivity = GREAT BAND. Of course, I have maximally simplified the concept, just to help you understand better.
