Then you have to realize that Sonic Youth, for example, innovated NOT SUBJECTIVELY, but OBJECTIVELY (or at least in a rather tangible way). Ask a rock historian and critic, let's see what they say, okay? By doing this, you completely nullify CRITICISM, which is the intellectual counterpart that culturally legitimizes art.
