Let's say that some Dt fans don’t really know the Muses of Portnoy and Co... but beyond this, what is most irritating is that, still some fans, claim to be great connoisseurs of music (not even just rock, but all music) and might ignore the vast majority of other rock genres (such as, new wave, psychedelia, noise, punk, hardcore, post-hardcore, alternative, and avant-garde, etc.) just because they are extremely convinced that prog is the definitive genre and that without technique there is no art (sob!). And from here the debate ignites... goodbye!

Ah, this album is terrible without any reference to the past of DT. This album is intrinsically pointless. It arises from a desire to ride the "new wave of progressive metal" (a term I coined as a joke, which would come after the birth of neo-progressive), and it is yet another demonstration that progressive music (at least a certain type, let's say "classic" style) is dead and buried.

But I'm laughing my head off. On one side, there's my review, plus the various comments I've left on this page. On the other side, there are comments like the one from EWEWEWEWE (even the username hints at how silly this poor soul is). Anyone who stumbles upon this review will be able to read both points of view... Of course, "individuals" like EWEWEWE make me look good and confirm that I'm right, along with those who think like me. Hehe.

the problem is the opposite... there are some Dt fans who attack honest people who would just like to criticize in peace (since these are reviews, a place for criticism)...
