You made me smile sincerely... finally! Macaco, putting aside the references (everyone has their own, more or less), don’t you mean that your references have given you some certainty? I honestly haven’t read the book, but it remains a book, written by a man. With all the limitations of knowledge that a man has (no matter how cultured, researched, enlightened, etc.). In other words, we are groping in the dark down here. Some believe they have the absolute truth (like the pope, priests, and the majority of the religious on earth, but also atheists, etc.: like... there's Paradise/Hell or absolutely nothing exists), others do too (enlightened scientists, for instance: there’s nothing, trust me! Or, string theory: a thousand simultaneous but disconnected universes, or an infinite yet finite universe), some seek their whole life (just scientists), some hope, imagine, fantasize (philosophers/poets), others are blinded (many "believers" in the world), and some simply, after readings, reflections, and varied experiences, don’t know what to think (like me). I have no certainties in this field. How about you? Share your references with me... but I doubt they’ll give me any security. Unfortunately.

Macaco, surely "one day we will all leave this 'physical cage' and this tyrant 'linear time'"... the problem is whether we will just get out. Because getting out of somewhere implicitly means entering some other place/time. And I have very strong doubts. I believe that we are limited and, unfortunately, we will remain limited.

Good monkey. Even here on deb, a small snapshot of our culture, Yang dominates in a worrying way. We lack Yin... by now entrenched on our front lines, we shoot at sight anyone who does not present themselves as "friends." We are not receptive at all. Perhaps man has never been. We are certainly "small" and limited.
