Yes, Mr. Fotter... but it usually happens that the cigarette butt after intercourse inevitably falls on the hairs of my very hairy chest, generating an incredibly smelly small fire... all while "Contra" plays in the background...

One thing I forgot: Chris McCandless is a hero to me.

Oh... this morning I reached the review of one of the books of my life. It is for so many, many reasons. It’s a book that’s in my DNA. In 1992, I was living in Vancouver, just south of where the event happened. And I was there for the same reasons that drove Chris to his adventure. So I know the places, I know the feelings, and I learned about the events right away. Back then, I was shocked. I remember the newspaper that reported the news and I remember being stunned. Only years later did I read the book and discover a bit more about Chris. I was very moved. Alone. The desire to be alone. In Nature. To escape. To feel part of something that no longer exists and that perhaps can only be found in those places. We Italians might understand it little... but walking for days and days without seeing any human element like power lines, roads, or houses is a very extreme experience. But it’s life. That life perhaps that we, trapped and cramped in our rusty cages, no longer have. And Chris had a desperate need for life. Many of us have sadly forgotten him.
