Pretazzo, but what the hell do you want with your nonsense? "This is the review Scaruffi would write under acid. Name: pretazzo | Date: 29/8/2007 | Rating: — | Album Rating: — " But what the hell does Scaruffi have to do with this??? You're really sick, you insert him everywhere, but if you ever have a woman to, you know, cum on her face, you’ll have to find some analogy with Piero? Come on, calm down please. I mean, every single day of your life you think about Scaruffi. Do you understand that? You're buried under his image; you listen to music every day, and your thoughts go to him every damn time, maybe for years. You've been thinking about Scaruffi every day for years. Think about it, seriously, then don’t pull out the clichés, because you are the master of fucking clichés from within your glass bell jar. Pathetic.

Beefheart has been distorted by Scaruffi; everyone approaches the album in an unnatural way. Have you ever listened to Beef as you would, say, Melt Banana? No. This is because it’s an album that requires “understanding,” for which you'll give it more listens than any other in case you don't like it on the first go. It’s a kind of unnaturalness that demonizes and turns against the album itself. One could say that Scaruffi has ruined the album (whether listeners have positive or negative judgments) for everyone he directed it toward. He certainly praises the VU, Schulze, and the Residents, but he doesn't have that drooling know-it-all attitude of “The only album worth listening to.” Safe as Milk, rating 9 – what a ridiculous score; I still can’t hear this total innovation compared to, say, delta blues vocals. Of course, innovation is important, but Trout Mask Replica just replicates the same exact concept of disconnection (what great innovation that is, since they had been doing it in free jazz for years) and incorporates it into rock. I don't see this great innovation, and as for innovation for innovation's sake, go to an avant-garde festival and die of boredom. If you want to hear much broader vocal ranges, download "Le interviste impossibili" by Carmelo Bene, which shits on Beef 24q35235 times.

For me, kraut rock has never caught on, oh well. Other genres I've never fallen for include dark like Bauhaus, The Cure, Sisters of Mercy, and the more recent goth. OH WELL OH WELL

I say that a work, in addition to being conceptual (which is great, of course), should use technique as a means for catharsis, not as an end. Should we then praise countless avant-garde albums just because they pushed the boundaries of hearing in music? I believe there has to be more in a work, and avant-garde is ridiculous; the term itself says it: avant-garde, meaning what is ahead; but what is ahead will one day be reached and canonized, therefore pioneering is decidedly superfluous. Classicism is needed in a work, which mocks any possible avant-garde (which is historical) to reach the state of "immortal." Klaus Schulze, the Residents, the Vus were not just avant-garde; they were also decorators of the inner apocalypse. What emotions does Beefheart give you? None for me.

I cry while listening to it. It makes you cry; it's one of the most violent records I've ever heard. It makes you cry. It's a black hole so ambiguous that you can see absolutely everything inside it, every nightmare or dream of yours; this is the most ambiguous music ever conceived. I cry.

What a load of crap of a review. The Lizard albums to listen to in order: 1) Goat 2) Head-Pure 3) Down 4) Liar 5) Show. Liar, despite being a full 5-star album, I let it be overshadowed by Down, which in my opinion is the peak of "post" in all their sound.
