The generation that must dance at all costs but is burdened by the resume: talking heads. What happens if we impose an unnatural joy and random enthusiasm on blurred, deformed, limping bodies: talking heads. This pairing: dance - phobia is truly unique in the history of rock, for me among the greatest.

One of the rare kraut groups that doesn't bring me to a trance but only to boredom.

Cage, Stockhausen, La Monte Young, the Velvet Underground... etc etc etc etc ??? It's a bit silly to start the review with "The greatest, the most talented, the nicest musical genius I've ever met of the last 100 years" ... 100 years is a long time, so much great jazz, so much great avant-garde, and many greats in rock as well. I have the first Talking Heads album in my headphones and I must say that in terms of deconstruction, they have nothing to envy from Zorn’s process, as they embed avant-garde into the skeleton of accessibility... a huge merit that not many possess. "Zorn among the greats" ... yes.

I have "only" 77 and Fear Of Music, and I like this a hell of a lot more than the debut, hysterical, mixed, pulsating, fucking masterpiece.
