An excellent guide to one of the most hybrid genres one can remember. Free Jazz - Avant-Garde - Ambient - Rock; in short, not exactly the guitar riffs of some empty-headed '80s band. Sun Ra, Wendy Carlos, Velvet Underground, Stockhausen—these are the four most important coordinates, in my opinion, for the genre.

This was a great rock band... pure rock n roll, the best in their genre. For about 25 years they’ve been totally useless, the last decent one is For Those About To Rock, they should have called it quits after that. Since post Back in Black, they’ve been a bunch of cunning talentless hacks. The best pub rock n roll band of all time.
