AA.VV. Beretta 70: Roaring Themes From Thrilling Italian Policefilms 1971-1980
Voto:
I don't know the CD in question, but I've approached the genre thanks to the Easy Tempo compilations, of which I recommend Vol.2 "the psycho beat" and Vol. 4 as mentioned earlier. I also recommend a magnificent CD that contains the "suspense" music composed by Ennio Morricone for crime films or thereabouts.. ("time for suspense"). Oh, I almost forgot the soundtrack by Osanna, a big band from the Seventies that completely scored "Milano calibro 9"... (even if the genre is more progressive oriented to be honest...)...Beautiful!!

Here it is, the passing the torch album... even though the sounds are typically still Kyuss. A solid 4! The review doesn't convince me and I won't rate it.

I prefer Hot Rail by Calexico... maybe because I've listened to it more. Your impressions are lovely; I completely share them.

awesome beautiful album!! rating 4. I can't quite see the parallel with the Ritmo... I picture more of an American muscle car in red, with fur-covered seats, pointy white leather shoes, and accessories... Well, now that I think about it, the Ritmo fits well too..!
dropout is magnificent!
and what to say about sister havana...?

Don't worry, I know the topic well... but fortunately, we can have different ideas.

You all seem a bit too harsh on good Josh, who, after all, has given me us great emotions.
Let’s see:
1- Fat is fat, I agree...but we can’t really blame him for it; he’s like almost all Americans who are a bit chubby... beer-food-excesses and little culinary culture;
2- Expecting a baby? And do you think he's releasing a CD because he wants to feed it, given that he'll struggle to live on the little money he already has? Hmm... I don't think so. Let's hope a nice little redhead with freckles is born.
3- It’s true the cover and the miserable booklet kind of suck... or something like that. But were those of the much-lauded men's ruin any better? Some were terrible (see The Heads; Kyuss-QOTSA and others that I can't recall right now);
4- Do you miss Olivieri? Not so much... I would still enjoy the dark Lanegan... but now he’s working with Greg Dulli, so let's let them do their thing....!!
5- I don’t see it as a too aggressive commercial operation. I paid 20 euros for the CD+DVD... and with the times we're living in, that’s a fair price considering that all the live video material on the DVD has never been available online until now... okay, sure, from now on it will be, but I prefer the originals for the QOTSA and Kyuss records.
6- It’s not always the case (it’s almost always the case but not always...) that if a band moves from an "independent," alternative state, or whatever you want to call it, to one of greater visibility, it has to go from great to complete crap, traitor... and then there’s the whole "stoner" genre that has entered the star system, so maybe it’s better to stay out of it and create something even different. I believe changing the game and reinventing oneself is good.
7- I’m done.

What a beautiful review. Clean, essential, and well done. I will delve into the lysergic sounds of the band...
Pink Floyd The Wall

Oh God, I messed up again. I repeat: I believe that the masterpiece of Pink Floyd – those most visionary and hallucinatory of all time, I might add – is their first album, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn. And I don't stray from this idea.
