ahh here’s where they were going... I ran into Capovilla at the autogrill in the Capriate BG area just on Saturday around two, while I was traveling for a two-day trip to Bolzano-Innsbruck. He was wandering around dressed in all black in front of the newspaper stand, from which he took out a copy of the maniphesto. I greeted him with a “good morning Capovilla” and he, giving me his chubby right hand, politely responded to my greeting, confiding that he was feeling a bit under the weather... Indeed, he didn’t look too good (certainly not a Greek god) and seemed quite cold-ridden. I heard them play - I believe it was about 5/6 years ago - at one of their last concerts as ODM and to be honest, I didn’t enjoy them much... they arrived with a huge delay and he was completely “ciucco” and struggled to sing and even to stay on his feet... I then rediscovered and appreciated him later with Teatro degli Orrori... I will also dust off the ODM.
In the meantime, while I was outside the autogrill eating a sandwich under the warm sun, I saw good old Capovilla wandering around smoking near the car they were traveling in, and I got a glimpse of our lovely Berlusconi-era Italy... a woman in her flashy SUV was audaciously parking on a flower bed, and she got out of the car with her little boy... a friend of hers was leaving his sedan parked close to the SUV on the curve, right near a stop sign, and an Iveco was parked for a work lunch in a disabled spot... Everyone seemed very calm. Congratulations, let’s keep this up!!.. perhaps I have rambled on a bit.

Indeed, the cover captivates at first glance!! It also reminds me of Escher... but also a Dalí in an autumn forest version (or harvest colors??); I will listen to it.. Good review, I like it!

...and to think that I, on the other hand, never go to a concert unless I have a CD of the band in question properly inserted in the player... in fact, I will say more, the week leading up to the concert is a total immersion - body and mind - in the band in question. De gustibus!!... Rule number 2 is not up for discussion! Great review!

I was there and... damn, I wanted to write the review myself, but I think this one is excellent!.. I agree with everything, including Amber. I believe her "detached coldness" and less-than-perfect performance were due to an annoying cold. I was right under the stage and noticed that with each song she would turn around and give her nose a good blow. Anyway, I forgive her everything. Dragonaut could have gone on for the whole night for me. It's a shame they didn't play Set Me Free... and Bright Light... concert gets 4.5! aided by a bit of a shitty acoustics.

Wow..great review!! For a little disc, it’s not bad at all...I prefer it to the previous one; even though I’m still on my first listens. To give an overall judgment, I'll wait for the concert on Saturday..

I have a real soft spot for them... After grinding through it for a good week (I was puzzled at first...), I consider it a good work! Alright, not as good as their first album... but it’s certainly enjoyable! Recently, I even listened to mc bean's previous works with the jerk with a bomb... What to say?? Pirokinesis - their third album from 2003 is simply magnificent... a sort of embryonic black mountain indie... in some parts, they even remind me of three miles pilot...
