What an honor! My first beloved review chosen in the column "they sometimes return"... thanks to the publishers for selecting THE ALBUM that, after all these years, still remains in the pantheon of my all-time favorites. A giant!

Yes, yes, great!! I bought one of their CDs right in Iceland, in Reykjavik, at a fabulous little shop/record label of Icelandic musical gems (http://www.12tonar.is/). Just think about how awesome this place is: 1. you enter the shop, 2. you choose the CDs you want to listen to, 3. you unwrap them if they're not opened yet, 4. you connect to a stereo with a nice pair of headphones, 5. you flop down on the sofa provided, 6. sipping some tea, you listen to the album freely, 7. once you've listened to the CDs, you take them back to the counter: a_ if you're interested, you buy them b_ not interested? you say goodbye and thank them. What a magnificent place. Sorry for the digression.

I was there at the big event, and I wasn't disappointed; in fact... I had a blast! What a concert, vibrant and powerful from start to finish!! The songs were played flawlessly by everyone, with great professionalism and a completely unpretentious attitude; even the new Belgian guitarist Bruno Fevery stepped in admirably for Josh Homme (who now seems light years away from this raw and gritty sound..). I would have loved to see Scott Reeder on bass, considering I've seen Olivieri crush it three times with the QOTSA, but he did great too, less of an idiot than usual! John Garcia held the stage excellently, despite being overweight, precise and with an amazing raspy voice, and finally, the great Brant Bjork on drums!!.. too freaky with his short white sponge socks. I was also hoping for "Demon Cleaner" and "Space Cadet," but it’s okay, I guess I'll hear them next time!! Kyuss alive and kicking!

beautiful review.. I don’t know why, but you reminded me of the debut album by tweak bird (magnificent).. although I think it has little to do with it; but it doesn’t matter, the joy you describe is enough for me. I’ll dive into their miospazio.
