The Beach Boys Pet Sounds
Voto:
My biggest flaw is that I don't know this album and not only that, I don't own anything by the Beach Boys; I only know a few scattered tracks. Nonetheless, the importance of the group is beyond question. Excellent review; I refer back to Revolver. Bold.

Despite the collaborating nomoni, I found the album rather ugly; now I've also gotten the CD (4 euros), and I found it horrible, except for "The Promise." The Power Station is definitely another story.

Punisher, I don't really agree with your theory about the 5 albums. Today I listened to "Avalon" by Roxy Music, where would you place it, since apart from compilations and a few live albums, this is their last work, and what a work it is.
Jan Garbarek In Praise of Dreams

The CD, acquired as soon as I learned of its release, disappointed me as well; I found a bored and dull Garbarek, and then the tracks of such short duration (like in this CD) probably do not do him justice. For those interested, they have reissued a Garbarek work from 1969 on CD, "Esoteric Circle" with Terje Rypdal, a very interesting piece of somewhat acid experimental jazz, not bad, right?

I found it a bit wooden, it didn't thrill me much, certainly better than a lot of other crap, but...

Great review! I seem to remember that even the Police faced a bit of the same story with "Outlandos D'Amour"; after the punk single "Fall Out," a producer called them too good to be doing punk and that commercially they were out of place.

For MrNobody. I took the trouble to read some of your comments, and indeed, you don’t comment on the review but only focus on the rating. To be honest, I found you polite in your other comments. Believe me, I got a bit confused with a certain Maccio Capatonda, but I don’t want to backtrack on anything, don’t worry. It’s better than a chat; at least we can exchange a few words. Cordially unfriendly.

For Nobody, I appreciate your effort to make yourself considered by someone, in this case JoP. Perhaps my mistake was commenting openly, but it was just a playful way to lighten up my first encounter with JoP; I’m referring to the review of Beethoven, if I'm not mistaken. As for everything else, I just want to communicate seriously and not seriously with the 6 or 7 reviewers I've found capable, including JoP. I'm sorry, but for now, Mr. Nobody, you are not included among them. You probably won't care much about my thoughts; in fact, you might start to poke fun at every review I write, which is fine—everyone has their own style. No hard feelings, I bid you farewell, and if you don’t like me, ignore me, but don’t insult me—not so much for me, but for yourself.

Surely the most successful unplugged.
