Not always "the most beautiful" is a 5; many times, often in an artist's production, the most interesting work with more content is not necessarily the catchiest, pardon, the "most beautiful." This is an excellent album, but since I interpret the rating not only on an aesthetic basis but also and, above all, on a musical exploration by the group or composer, in my humble opinion, "Swordfish..." and "Rain Dogs," and I would also include "Franks Wild...", are all worthy of a 5. However, apart from the bleakness of the rating, the review itself deserves a 5.

I thought I had everything about the macca, but this is the first time I've seen it.

A sober review, without unnecessary frills, for a CD that I've been thinking of getting for a while, well done.

If you’re intrigued, Nobody, then it's yours. "Fashinoma" is produced by Ry Cooder and has the truly unusual feature for Hassel of having composed jazz-inspired tracks, plus two classics: "Suite De Caravan" by D. Ellington and the beautiful "Estate" by B. Martino. I got the CD as an import from the USA since the record label (never heard of it before) is practically not available in Italy; it’s from <Water Lily Acoustics>, released in 1999. Best regards.

Hi Sfasciacarrozze, sooner or later will you review a CD that I know? But you’re one of a kind and you entertain me with your intelligence. Great review, bye bye.

Hi Hal, always right on time with the news! I had also lost track of him in terms of music, so I'll make sure to look for the album you mentioned.

My latest by Hassel is "Fashinoma," a work dedicated to jazz, but with his classic sounds. A good album, probably a bit easier for those who enjoy approaching him for the first time. I agree with Nobody that "Dream Theory..." is probably superior but a bit more challenging, much denser and hazier.

I managed to buy the CD, it's really amazing, in America (USA) instead of these damn rappers there should be a return to music that's a bit more expressive and colorful, especially played live.

Punisher, I recommend giving it another listen. Regardless of obvious personal tastes, despite memorable albums like "For Your Pleasure" or "Flesh + Blood," "Avalon" closes the circle and gives us the fully matured (not rotten) Roxy at the height of their elegance, with flowing sounds and successful tracks. How can one not be captivated by "To Turn You On" or "Take A Chance With Me"? It’s actually strange that no one has reviewed it. Regards.

I fully share everything you've written. "Parole D'Amore Scritte A Macchina" I always find sweet and never trivial, perhaps thanks to or because of the memories that tie me to it. I cannot say the same about "900"; everyone calls it superior, but honestly, I find it a bit cold and less inviting to listen to.
