@bartle: it's truly a mystery about the Ancestors (anyway, they’re on Tee Pee like the Naam whose album I'm looking for, and maybe I'll buy it blindly. Am I making a mistake?)

Both these and the ancestors have given me orchitis. However, the last Ancestors is lengthy and with zero ideas, at least these guys are some real badasses. Look, I'm going to listen to it again, but for now it reminded me a bit too much of the downside of prog (you name it, like Wakeman and similar).

Damn, it's been a year since I wanted to review Stormcock or Folkjokeopus. You got me thinking again...

found it for 3 dollars and finally listened to it with the right attention. Nice record, I still don't love the voice, but the instrumental insights are fabulous, and of course, the ending of Boy in the Sandbox is truly amazing.

found for 3 dollars in New York, happiness! but my version has 8 bonus tracks, without any notes, and from the recording, it seems like later stuff, but very much in the ’80s/’90s style. Does anyone know anything about this??

Well done, Ivo, I join the general praise for the choices; we needed someone to fill the gaps in the database. I have this, but to be honest, I still haven't listened to it in full. I'm not feeling very 70's these days. But when is a review of the album (the ugliest cover in the world) by Broselmachine???

such a great band, I should buy this, I'm waiting for pre-Christmas discounts. One note, Denver: saying that the album is critically acclaimed worldwide counts (or should count) for less than zero in a critical evaluation of an album. I mean, if at some point everyone says that shit tastes like Lindt chocolate, I couldn't care less, to me it remains shit.

The bassist was the one from Khan (with the medallion in the style of The Lord of the Rings). No Bletch, Tavares bailed right before the concert, all cold and just coming off some vomiting upstairs thanks to a bottle of absinthe downed the night before. After the concert, I flew home, exchanged just a couple of words, especially since people are driving me crazy with these midweek shows starting at quarter to one in the morning, dear God! Not everyone’s a lazy bum! Anyway, we covered "Rock Me Baby," "Gimme Shelter," and the central part of "Parchman Farm," just to reiterate the sources of inspiration.

Damn, I was telling myself the other night, while talking to the drummer of Dzjenghis Khan, that I should give this album a third chance. I think I've already written it, but for one reason or another, I just can't get into Yamanaka's voice. Beautiful review, Michoos!

oh bartle, I saw them yesterday and they looked like a small-town band; for goodness' sake, the acoustic was terrible, but the drummer didn't even try to play. Anyway, he was very nice, I ended up talking to him about psychedelia for about an hour.
