John G. Avildsen Karate Kid - Per vincere domani

Come on, it might be that the series following the legendary first one aired when I was already a self-proclaimed teenager, but honestly, it felt like they were really scraping the bottom of the barrel. And seriously, where were the fingers violently digging into the temples/ribs/armpits of the poor souls? What the hell were all those damn energy waves? Come on, it was Ken, not those whiny guys from the Knights of the Zodiac or that idiot from Dragonball (with all due respect to Toriyama, even just for the nonsensical poetry of Arale)? I don't know?

you’ve even made caz uncomfortable, you deserve a praise. Anyway, I think a bit like that too, meaning that there are few masterpieces. However, there are so many factors that influence a judgment (time distance, undeniable personal judgment, weather, menstrual cycle) that it honestly becomes difficult to find essential masterpieces. Yes, in short, there’s very little that is objective in musical judgments (excluding technical discussions). But I belong to the "glass half empty always and anyway" party, so my opinion doesn’t carry much weight.

oh fuck, but you’re a fake, you could have said it right away! Yosif, let’s not talk bullshit, I don’t think they’re the best psychedelic artists out there either, and I agree that there’s been a lot of embellishment about their story, especially regarding the psychedelic ethics that guided them, but 2 you just can't see that shit!

be careful, Tommy Hall is coming to look for you with a "turbo pigeon loft."

one of the few thrillers in the last 15 years where you don't know where it's going until the very end. I watched it again recently and it hasn't lost its charm; in fact, seeing it again adds significant depth to the details. Not only the lead actors are great, but also the wonderful Bowie and the great Michael Caine.

Come on guys, Ken only makes sense up until Raul's death; after that, it's all nonsense. I would add the ever-praised Lorenzo Lamas to the Van Damme/Seagal duo (along with his mulleted friend who looks like a Native American). Anyway, for Carlo's curiosity and maybe others, your friend was right in saying that Steven Seagal is, within the context of aikido, a monster. But he has his dojo in Japan, and he was the first to do it. And I add that I had the (un)fortunate experience of meeting him 10 years ago when I was working in Tokyo for the first time: a hulking guy almost two meters tall with thighs as thick as my entire torso.

simply one of the (many) reasons why I regret having grown up in the 80s (I even did 10 years of Karate up to black belt, thank God not after watching this film; then luckily one discovers the Magico Mondo della Phiga and everything gets put into perspective). Perhaps one of the worst films ever, there’s no nostalgia that can hold up; shit covered in crispy pralines remains shit. The review is beautiful, but if it's true that Pat Morita was nominated for an Oscar, I’m sorry that the Big One hasn't reached Los Angeles yet, they deserve it. Oh, and anyone with a bit of knowledge of martial arts, like, I don’t know, the whole first series of Ken il Guerriero, knows that the Crane is a technique from the much more badass Kung Fu. I remember endless debates in elementary and middle school about this. What a "togo" period... and after this, I’m off to grab a coffee at the bar with my shoulder-padded jacket...

After various listens, unfortunately, I don't like this either. I don't know, it all seems so fake to me; they're always on the verge of coming up with an interesting idea but always veer in the wrong direction. And honestly, I don't get the 10-minute suite. Much better when they're just doing pop, like on "Song for Dan Treacy" and "Brian Eno." @Purpulan: I agree, Tame Impala is the album of the summer, and I would have never said that because the previous EP was the usual 60's psych revival stuff that I have dozens of records of. Instead, the album has a completely different mixing.

What a lovely little disc, my bad for having snubbed it when it was released. It even grows on you with repeated listens. I even bought the original, amazed.

Christ, this album is definitely better than what I wrote above. It retains the flaw of excessive length (if they had stopped at the first ten tracks, it would have been the album of the year), but I must say it truly deserves it.
