The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown

I found the heads yesterday at Tower Records, but I think it's the album before the one you reviewed. However, I found the UFO Mammut for very little and I got them. I'm going to wait a bit for the Moving Sidewalks. I wanted to get the Count Five that I'm missing first. And also the Sleep's Dopesmoker. Hal, a nice go fuck yourself, you deserve it... Bye.

Don't talk about the album, boy, and that's bad... but I agree with the numerical rating. Bought it as soon as it was released and was very disappointed with how it held up in the long run. If I'm not mistaken, I returned it. Anyway, quality over quantity, remember.

Shit, maybe Hal is right! You and I were friends in another life... never hung out in Venice in the last 7-8 years? I studied there. Anyway, I wanted to ask you for info about this CD I saw the other day in a little shop. At this point, I'll just get it and to hell with the misery of living abroad! Bye and take care.

I just read today in an English magazine that the cover is a painting they made themselves in '87, about 3 meters by 3. Rereading it, I like it less and less... maybe it's the stress of Tokyo. Anyway, the album is beautiful.

I'm sorry but I disagree.... I've seen them live twice... I'm from Ancona so they've passed through often because they're friends with the guys from Yuppie Flu (bleah)..... I hope they're more conclusive in the club than they were live, but usually it's the opposite, at least for the good bands.... and from what I remember about the Lips, they only inspire admiration. Sorry those are not my favorites. Nice show anyway.

great finally someone who had the courage... you could have gone on longer, but it had been two months that I was trying to write the review and I realized that I couldn't... congratulations for the courage, because the album is absolutely difficult to review. The Interpol didn't just take something. The beginning of the title track is IDENTICAL to Obstacle 1 by Interpol! Bye

I agree with Rocky on favoring the first two of the soft… the third, aside from Moon in June, is a bit heavy… but are we really brothers?

Remarkable record and an incredibly awesome album (my favorite of theirs). Great shit! I saw them live 4 years ago in Tokyo, but they were a bit dull. Fuzzing the night away.

x barry: mine is naturally a personal judgment. I got to know the Lips through Soft Bulletin and Yoshimi first, and they didn't really impress me. Then I got the triple album (which I actually wanted to review) "Finally The Punk Rockers Are Taking Acid," which gathers the first three albums and the first EP (plus many outtakes), and I liked those Lips a lot more. Also, In a Priest Driven Ambulance is remarkable. Anyway, I advise anyone interested in the album to forget about it because it’s almost impossible to find. Better to get the mentioned triple album, which includes the other two albums that are both 5/5, and if you order it from Amazon UK, it will cost you much less than in stores. Like 29 euros, shipping included. Sayonara.
