Alice In Chains Dirt

Well, what can I say, the album that (along with Jar of Flies) marked my depressed adolescence... so many memories! I've never gotten it on CD, you've made me want to fix that, damn it! But I don't compare it to other bands from the so-called grunge scene, it's pointless. I also adore PJ (at least up to No Code) and equally Soundgarden, and in a different way, these three bands deeply influenced me. Great rec.

I got this album about a year ago and I liked it quite a bit... but I think this stuff is referred to as electro considering the 80's beats. The video for Emerge is remarkable (not the one on the CD but the one that was playing on MTV late at night a year ago). Anyway, the cover is awesome! Bye!
Jim White Drill A Hole In That Substrate And Tell Me What You See

I understand why it's one of the most liked in the rankings... you're a fucking monopolizer, Hal! I can't help but recommend it too... maybe one of the most beautiful you've written. But I don't have the courage to look for it because I have a stack of about 100 CDs to listen to. I'd like to take a vacation in Italy this summer, will you host me on the Island? And then maybe a road trip with the aforementioned CD on repeat, of course! Bye.
Mondo Generator A Drug Problem That Never Existed

never heard it, but the rec had already been done, right? Anyway, maybe I'll swing by Pinarella to see them on the 23rd... de-meeting for two? Bye
Pavement Brighten The Corners

I know little about the early ones... vague memories of crooked rain crooked rain... but this one I liked a lot and made me reconsider them (everyone hardcore and pure alternative at the time liked them, and I hated them just for that). I don’t listen to it anymore, but it reminds me of a nice time in Paris when I got it for cheap. My favourite: Passat dream and Stereo.
Nice rec.
Giorgia Ladra di vento
Voto:
I’ll just say that she’s the favorite artist of the Japanese girl I teach Italian to in Tokyo = if she’s liked by the average Japanese who don’t understand a damn thing about music, there must be a reason, right? And then the album should be called "Ladra di venti" because of the flatulence it steals from your tormented intestine in the throes of spasms during listening. However, this little thing has a really fancy website. 0 would be too much, so no vote.
Kings Of Convenience Riot On An Empty Street

I completely agree with Nick. The first one wasn't bad, but the presence of Simon & Garfunkel loomed over everything too heavily; still, it wasn't too bad... if this one moves in the same direction, I think it will stay on the shelves. In Norway, there is better... he who has ears to hear, let him hear. Beautiful rec, compliments.
Badly Drawn Boy One Plus One Is One

Heard it once and it felt scarce, but it seems on the levels of the first things I liked a lot. Like Hum, I only had the first one and the previous EP, while the later stuff had kind of annoyed me. Good for him that he’s bounced back. Really nice rec. Bye.
Almamegretta Animamigrante
Voto:
No people, calm down, let’s not mix gold with tin! This and the following Sanacore ARE the Almamegretta! I got to know them with these two and they remain unreachable (I don’t mean to say that Lingo is bad, but there’s a big difference). One note Kuper... maybe the rec is a bit tight for those who don’t know the album. Bye
