Elliott Smith From A Basement On The Hill
Voto:
What can I say.....I'm speechless....I don't know Elliott, but I will make sure to check him out after this wonderful review that I read quickly and (coincidence 1) while I was smoking my last cigarette before going to bed, even with a sore throat. (coincidence 2) I just sent a rec that ends with a smoked cigarette...I swear I hadn't read your Hal! What can I say, smoking cigarettes is a drag; I had quit for a year and a half (I had incredibly managed to separate alcohol from cigarettes) but because of this damn metropolis I've picked it up more than before....I justify myself by admitting that man (myself included) is weak and addictions clearly mark earthly existence, like love. Anyway, I'm too moved by this rec and I'm at risk of being sentimental, that's enough. The best way to interpret life (and even mine) is well exemplified by Monty Python in the film of the same name. Bye.

Ah Devon, well if you've done from 5th grade to 2nd middle school I take back the criticism, because I think I would make even bigger mistakes. I've only been to Bangkok and the south in Thailand, in Koh Samui and Koh Phangan (I think that's how it's spelled), islands that have become quite touristy, but the second notable for its Full Moon Party on the beach... bye

So dear Devon, I unfortunately have to tell you that I don't like this rec num at all. Not for the content, but (forgive me) for the syntax... if I didn't know that you've been an adult, I would say that you did elementary school there. Let me explain better: it sounds like a rec made by a foreigner, with a basic grasp of grammar and glaring mistakes like "indonese" instead of "indonesiana" and "energetiche" (is that Gatorade or Red Bull?) instead of "energiche." Ultimately, it seems a bit like a middle school essay in terms of language proficiency. You might call me an asshole, but my Japanese students make these kinds of errors. The positives: you’re not in any way pretentious, which is rare around here lately, and you don’t sell what you don’t have. So there’s always room for improvement. I wanted to take a trip to Indonesia and specifically to Malaysia for New Year's, but I'm returning to Italy first... damn, I’m a bit upset, but it will be (I hope) for another time... anyway, Southeast Asia has its charm; unfortunately, apart from Japan, I've only been to Thailand. Friendly people and beautiful nature... have you ever been to the Borobudur temple? I've wanted to go there for ages. Bye and take this as constructive criticism. Bye.
Jovanotti Jovanotti For President

I finish with a note for caz: be careful when condemning what you don't know well, that is, Islam, or rather you seem intelligent enough not to fall into the trap of the mainstream information that lumps everything together. Of course, some things even seem to me (moreover, a convinced atheist) to come straight out of a science fiction book, but it's reductive to say it's all crap. The problem, in my opinion, is the fact that Islam is the state; they are two inseparable things in countries of Islamic faith. Anyway, good review.

But is this rec serious? I mean, I understand the somewhat detached analysis of what most users on this site (I hope) consider an utter fool who, with his idiotic talk and his last-minute leftist attitudes, has contributed to creating a distorted image of young teenagers, but there’s a huge leap from defining him as a multimedia character. I mean, a character with depth. Here, gentlemen, we are dispensing clichés at every intervention he makes.... but can someone who publishes an album with various fragrances have artistic dignity? Do you remember that miserable double album from two or three years ago? Regarding Cecchetto, in my opinion, first of all, he’s an asshole who exploited the bands he discovered, some of which didn’t see a dime despite having brief success (see Via Verdi), simply because the guy doesn’t pay. Secondly, this guy has largely contributed to the stereotyping of a good part of the '80s trends in Italy (a country that thrives on stereotypes and clichés, and I would add Catholic conservative views, like a fly on shit): besides the fake rappers like Lorenzo (so deserving as an artist that as soon as he tried to reinvent himself he stopped being called Jovanotti.... give me a break!) to Nikki (do you remember him? 90% of metalheads of the time would have wanted to meet him at a concert just to open his head, I presume), and others, obviously.

Very nice review pounds, I liked it a lot. I didn’t quite grasp the comparison between church and paganism, though. Regarding the constellation (but is kranky also Canadian?), I have nothing to say about their artistic policy; I completely agree with it. The covers are meticulously crafted and sometimes genius. However, my admiration ends here, when the charm of the packaging disappears, and I feel the true content of the works in question (that is, the holy music) tends to either make me drowsy or want to break the CD. Naturally, it’s a hasty and stupid judgment, but the few things I have or have listened to (GSYBE, Silver Mt Zion, another guy I don’t remember) haven’t given me anything. Maybe I’ll download this compilation and change my mind. Bye and compliments again.
Motörhead The Best Of

Sorry, Charles, a note: the Motorhead were originally punk, and where do you think punk derives from? Progressive? No, from the '60s garage, and consequently everything goes back to the good old '50s rock 'n' roll of which Lemmy is a fierce and devoted follower. Ola

I meant that if it's in French, I don't know it or understand it well enough to follow a movie entirely in French. I wanted to know if what you downloaded is in English or not; otherwise, I won't download it either. Bye.

Hi Josi. I was just thinking that I would really like to see them live, since the album marked a beautiful and tough period in my life. Maybe I'll see them in Tokyo like 2 Many DJ's but I don't know. Anyway, I don't mind the latest one; of course it couldn't be like the others. The only problem is that being a mix of electronic and rock, it risks disappointing both sets of fans. Hi and don't worry about the earthquake; at least let's say that for the moment I exist, so that's fine... in the meantime, I'm just touching my balls every single day.

I saw it for rent in Tokyo last week. But is "Cure" in French or in English? Because here I find the original language with Japanese subtitles, but if it's a French film, I'm out. Let me know.
