Beautiful rec, I tried to do it three times but nada... too many memories tied to this album. Anyway, it’s definitely their best, a wonderful soundtrack for hot summer days. By the way, Calexico is the name of a little town in California (I think) at the border with Mexico. I was lucky enough to see them five years ago in Cesena and it was one of my best concerts. They are amazing: the lead singer looked like Eminem, the double bassist like Phil Collins with a fringe, the guy on slide looked like the doctor from Back to the Future, the guy on trumpets was David Pajo from Slint, and the jack-of-all-trades (marimbas etc.) was Stefan Edberg. Great, jam!

I'm sorry moon but In Search of Space is thirty times better than Doremi Fasol Latido, which, after experiencing it, was a bit disappointing. The same songs from Doremi performed live on Space Ritual are muuuuch better. If you get the chance, read the recently released biography of Lemmy in which he recounts his meeting with Hawkwind and that bald guy, Dik Mik.

sacred words kurz....once I had fewer records, I knew them better....there's a rush for compulsive listening that sometimes becomes an end in itself, that is, it turns into musical pedantry... Damn, I think calling an album "sadness" in Japanese doesn't make it appealing to me. Better to go with "ureshii" (happy) or "yarashii" (ugly)... well, sorry for the stupid comment. But in the end, it intrigues me.
