I saw the Jennifers two days before Urbino, and they’re not bad, very "barrettiani" (a bit dull in those moments) but also capable of ultra-psychedelic improvisations (the best parts). Anyway, I don’t even have an album, the last one is nice up to the halfway point, then it loses its way.

finally bought it, I must say that bel air is a blast but compared to the pre egebamyasi stuff, I like it a bit less. That is, the electronic-like rhythms (and sometimes really electronic like the drum of Spoon on ege, indeed) don’t excite me. Anyway, I’ll have to digest it with the proper calm, of course.

I admit I was sarcastic, and I regret it; it was a rough day when I made that comment. Usually, I don’t get worked up, but I took it out on you when it could have been anyone else. It’s just that when someone writes thoughtfully and often expects such thoughtfulness in their comments or in any written word, they’re labeled as an intellectual elitist, and this dynamic is extremely dangerous. It’s what our government (and others) uses to undermine culture. Of course, there are pretentious intellectuals on every street corner, but we should never generalize.

bought today finally....after two listens I don't feel ready to give a judgment, but the first one is screaming, I really like Sun Ra too and What We Talk....also (strange that when I found out about the album release and saw the title of the track I was actually reading that Carver story). Anyway, I don't think it will reach previous heights, but I wasn't expecting that either.

Now I'll read it calmly. All my lizard-obsessed friends always recommended goat and shot. What do you suggest, dear zigghio?

an interesting hobbit point of view, some might say; a huge nonsense worthy of a garrote, others might say; but what the hell are these RH and these Beatles, my neighbor would assert.

Damn, but yesterday I was listening to Raw Power (same year) and no kidding, the violence is superior.... mmmhh now that I'm writing, I remember that the mix I have is the one Iggy Pop redid recently, and I don't know how David Bowie's sounded..... did I just write a complete nonsense?

How can you talk about dogmas if, as you say, you're young and still have to learn? Then call them the dogmas of teenagers or whatever. How can you say that Lou Reed, aside from VU and Nico, isn't worth it? At least that’s what I deduce. I also like the Beatles, but I admit that the changes made later by the VU are, in perspective, even greater, considering the lyrical and instrumental evolution of rock music. Anyway, I like Reed's solo work less than the Velvet Underground, but Berlin and Transformer are must-haves.
