Hawkwind Space Ritual

So, there are three versions of the album: this double CD reissued for the English market in '96 (I found it for 16 euros on cdbox.it); the edition split into two single CDs which doesn't seem complete; and the edition called Sundown edition, where there's everything – I mean, this whole concert (or these two, I think it’s a recording of two nights) with the long versions of brainstorm and time we left... This last edition seems to be the best in terms of remastering, but it’s expensive and not easy to find (at least three years ago when I got it). If you don’t have anything from Hawkwind, this CD is more than enough; in the studio, I like in search of space and also doremifasollatido, even though it’s a little bit inferior. Anyway, Jim, there's the official website it seems, and you can also find some videos.

I just read about the release of Telluric Chaos, a live album from this tour... and by chance, the recorded concert is THIS ONE!!!! Damn, someone buy it and put the samples out, it would be the first record of concerts on deb with audio included. Of course, I'm not getting it; maybe I'll realize they were terrible, and I want to keep my memory just as it is.

I was also watching them on TV, John, and wondering where those four guys had come from... especially the caveman bassist and that loser Big Jim on guitar... then I saw them live and realized that Big Jim was good but a loser like few others in the world... then I became addicted. Nice onion/ale.

Good job Zaireeka, I agree with Waits, a digestible version of the captain (that's not a bad thing, obviously). We discussed this album with Anti, if I remember correctly, in another setting. If you read the review I wrote at the link above, you'll see that I practically echo what you say. However (there's always a however in life), in my view of music (limited, I admit), a true masterpiece is a work that manages to maintain both accessibility and brilliance at the same time. May I allowed to say that the accessibility of this album is, if not zero, very close to it. Over time, I've discovered that musicians get more excited about the crooked passages of TMR. But for me, it remains a cerebral album, appealing to the intellect more than the senses (I would say the stomach). Maybe over time I'll change my mind; since the first time I heard it, my judgment has improved. But it's still an album that nourishes my intellect and not much my ear.

I'm sorry, but I don't like the review; I mean, there's not much talk about the record. Whether you like it or not (for me, it's a masterpiece not in a musical sense but "conceptual"), it is a milestone because it made it clear that even within the so-called "rock" and with its instrumentation, one could reach absolutely "other" horizons and shores. If you feel like it, read the review I wrote here (+ it was more than just a review; it was a labor of love!): link rotto

Good job bogus, you got it perfectly! That part almost made me laugh too, but the rest is really nice.

adults = from 20 to 30? damn, so I’m at the end of adulthood!! I’m almost old. I don’t know, I still prefer a good role-playing game with a good master (excluding d&d).

oh mom, the kindergarten users again, so timid that they won’t authenticate themselves… but look, if you insult me while authenticated, I’m not going to come looking for you, you know? bah, I really don’t get it, I don’t think I insulted the group or northern. is it forbidden to say that I like + other psychedelia? is it perhaps forbidden? Mah, I don’t understand.
